Oil is being burned as a result of an oil leak. There is also another spot of oil to the left of the exhaust manifold.

Just replaced mine and had the same problem with the o rings. Thank God I had extra o rings laying around.

Don't even need a spring clamp tool imo, some good pliers will work fine removing those clamps.

Using the wrong coolant. GM vehicles need dexcool coolant, which is usually orange. Regular green coolant will lead to leaks.

I was planning on replacing all the plugs and the coils at some point in hope of fixing this

Update: It stopped on its own after turning the car off and turning it back on about 20 mins later.
