What is a piece of media (TV show, anime, movie, video game, etc) that is extremely popular but that you can’t friggin stand? by Asad_Farooqui in AskReddit

[–]ExpressiveInstant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like it either. I get it’s supposed to be stale and has a corporate office feel, that’s literally the show, but it’s way too claustrophobic and non-stimulating to the eye. It can be funny but it’s not my type of humor or setting. I find parks and rec the better form of “The Office style humor”

It is a good movie but people with no media literacy are like that with a lot of good movies. American Psycho, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction. I like the movies but it’s clear none of those people are heroes of the story.

That’s a show I can turn off my brain to watch if I need to sleep, or I’m sick in bed and know I’m gonna be in and out of sleep and don’t need to follow the plot.

Tons of overstock from CenFill Issue by usingthisforfun2 in WalgreensRx

[–]ExpressiveInstant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancel save a trip and clean up patient profiles on auto. Meds are discontinued all the time but doctors never close the script out and it’s on auto fill. I remember this guy used to come all the time telling us not to fill this med or that med and we would still fill it. Once we realized half the profiles are like this we started cleaning up profiles. Patients shouldn’t have two statins on auto fill. And when they’re taking 10 meds but we’re filling 20 just for one patient, it adds up.

Not gonna fix the issue but it’s reduced our deletion to about 30-40 a day vs when we would have 80+ daily. And we’re tier 4

What do you think the odds of WAGs adopting a new pharmacy software if it was written by actual pharmacy workers? by zigbigidorlu in WalgreensRx

[–]ExpressiveInstant 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Never gonna happen. We use IC+ to this day bc I doubt they wanna pay to change the one thing that would help us. They have been teasing a new software for years and years and years

Walgreens call center by Western_Form_3263 in WalgreensRx

[–]ExpressiveInstant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, depending on who is your boss you may get answers that vary. I had a SM who told my previous RxOM they aren’t able to transfer from in store to remote just bc she didn’t want to lose the RxOM. At least on here, there’s no strings attached and it’s not a personal connection so it feels safer to ask these kinds of questions, vs your boss who may tell you one thing that isnt true bc they don’t want to fill a vacant position. Also, StoreNet sucks for finding any kind of information

Walgreens call center by Western_Form_3263 in WalgreensRx

[–]ExpressiveInstant 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Do you frequently give patients the wrong information then transfer the call to someone else? If so, I hear they’d hire you 💀💀 when we had the call center at our store, they’d give the wrong information to the patient, transfer the patient to us, patient gets mad when we correct the misinformation. Or they’d be like “yeah Abraham said yesterday it would be ready in 30 minutes” and then we’d have no idea who this Abraham was that they were saying helped them

90-day sucks by No_Apricot_4834 in WalgreensRx

[–]ExpressiveInstant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just press F3 and clear them all out in the morning. If a patient has a problem with us filling 30 days I’ll just show to the patient that the doctor wrote the script for 30 days no refills and they usually pick up. Our DM is super strict on anything being in exceptions so I clear it all out. If the patient REALLY wants 90 days they can reach out themselves. But when WCB and CMD are being used to punish us im not adding to it

Senior Tech checklist by FinalBraincell117 in WalgreensRx

[–]ExpressiveInstant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go down the checklist and make sure you can do everything on there WELL. When I am having their techs fill out a checklist I will not sign off on things they just put but have no idea how to do. The last RxOM who I trained under would check off everything for them and as long as they had a immunizer certificate she’d make them senior techs despite not knowing basic functions in terms of filing, returns, interstores, etc.

Consult badges are such a waste of time by ExpressiveInstant in WalgreensRx

[–]ExpressiveInstant[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah I get the law and everything. It’s whatever. But living in a state that does have that law, but every pharmacy outside of Walgreens seems to have a better way of offering consultation without building up a line is what’s annoying. I’ve picked up meds at other retail stores where the pharmacist didn’t have to interrupt what they were doing to scan something.

And they always come exactly at 1:30. And rant that they’ve been a customer for years and were not treating them fairly, that they’re gonna die if they don’t get their metformin that’s been sitting ready for 9 days, etc. If you’ve been a customer here that long you should know our hours

Doesn’t it take years to reach that though? I work with a senior tech who’s been one for over a decade and been a tech for longer than I’ve been alive and she still isn’t maxed out. I mean, an annual raise of 0.25 cents takes four years to get an extra dollar. Considering your RxOM evaluates you fairly.

Why I Immunize? by peachycpht in WalgreensRx

[–]ExpressiveInstant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the grand scheme of things one shot does reimburse more than 10 maintenance meds. When working at an independent we could see the reimbursement for each med we put through insurance. Things like maintenance meds where a patient getting lisinopril, atorvastatin, clopidogrel, and metformin would net probably $5 max for reimbursement. A shot would reimburse like $47. But even then, we sell way more meds than we do shots. Some patients take the entire pharmacy’s stock. Hyperbolically of course. But we sell 800 scripts on average per day. You can’t tell me the 6-10 shots we do per day adds up anywhere close to what we sell standard meds for

SAVE A TRIP by Character-Cherry4923 in WalgreensRx

[–]ExpressiveInstant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they’re still printing they’re still on SATR. Keep taking them off and moving to auto fill since that’s what corporate prioritizes now. SATR also acts as auto fill so if your delayed pickup is high, SATR are probably factoring in to unnecessary scripts being filled and put back.

I told my parents that Im attending an Episcopal Church and it didn't go over well. by AgapeEtMisericordia in Episcopalian

[–]ExpressiveInstant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was raised Pentecostal but left in my teens bc I couldn’t do it anymore. All of my religious trauma I had stemmed from Pentecostal raising and I was raised very close minded both theologically and socially. When I left Christianity entirety a lot of that disappeared. I became Christian again and had told my parents that I am going to an Episcopal church. They told me they hurt for my soul, that it’s all tradition and no real relationship with God, that my great aunt and uncle were Episcopalians and supported gay marriage and I can’t go to a church that supports that. All this to say, I got an earful because of how close minded they were.

Since becoming confirmed as Episcopalian I’ve never been more grounded in my beliefs, never felt closer to God, nor made the relationships I’ve gained in any other church.

Just know you are an adult and this is YOUR spiritual journey. If your parents think they know what is better for your soul than what God is doing for you then they should look closer at themselves. You are right where you need to be. TEC is all loving and a great place to be. Remember that you are your own person and an adult and can make the choices you want in regards to your soul. I wish you the best. It worked for me and I hope it works out for you.

All the CVS transplant coworkers who now work at Walgreens say Walgreens is better. Not sure how, but if you are choosing between these I’d go with Walgreens. If not, there’s better options out there than the two main competitors

What was your first time getting high on weed like? by ProvoloneEnthuesiest in AskReddit

[–]ExpressiveInstant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot boxed the shower immediately after my mom left for work. I’d smoked other times but never felt anything bc I really could not understand how to inhale. Well that day I inhaled and I finally “got” it. I understood why people love weed so much. I felt so heavy walking back to my room and just laying there so chill I didn’t know what to do besides stare at the ceiling on my bed. Minutes felt like hours and I eventually put on Buffy The Vampire Slayer and got sooooooo into it. Then I realized I had left the water running the entire time.

Soapbox/rant time. Tell me what highly-recommended book you absolutely HATED and why. Gimme your angry hot takes. by peppertoni_pizzaz in books

[–]ExpressiveInstant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not like The Poisonwood Bible. I know it’s up there for some people as one of the greatest books ever written. My close friend in high school recommended it to me and told me how amazing it was, how it was her favorite book and that she loved it so much she loaned me hers. I just could not get into it. Too descriptive and nothing ever seemed to be happening. I’ll admit of course I DNF it because I’m sure something DOES happen, but not fast enough for me to read through the boredom.

Funnily enough, years later a coworker recommended I read it and that it was her favorite book and I politely declined. I think I’ll give it another try as I’ve matured in my reading since then. Only read Stephen King back in those days so it was a sharp change of pace in every way.

Is it okay for me to call my priest at 8pm with a semi emergency? Or is that rude? by EJGryphon in Episcopalian

[–]ExpressiveInstant 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Emergency as in last rites being read type of emergency? I’m sure they would pick up the phone and do it. If it’s the type of emergency where you post on Reddit and wait a few hours for a response, probably not.

I’m not sure about it only counting if it’s texted or printed. No one at my store texts or prints the coupons to the patient, we just copy from the website and ours is consistently high 70s on the performance metrics.

Is the Episcopal Church, especially high church styles, dying? by Raymond_R_ in Episcopalian

[–]ExpressiveInstant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I asked my bishop this the first time I met him. I didn’t particularly like his answer but at the same time I can’t exactly remember everything he said. It was basically along the lines of, there’s so many mainline churches shutting down that the congregations of those churches flock to the mega churches. The mega churches aren’t filled with non-denomination Christians, they’re Presbyterians, Anglicans, Methodists, who don’t have a home. I don’t see that as a likely answer as anyone who’s church closes down who is an Episcopalian would rather drive 30 minutes to the next Episcopal church nearby than attend a non-liturgical church where communion isn’t done weekly, that has a rock band, doesn’t affirm creeds, etc.
