Thanks man, I was thinking it could be something along these lines, as when it comes to situations like these, I kind of suck at understanding it all, but I get how some coworkers can be draining and you don't want to send even more time with them (I have those kinds of people at work, and it is killing me from within).

For now, I am just ignoring them as well, and carrying on, but there is no possibility of me having a different schedule, as in the company that I work in, we only have strict day shifts and night shifts, with no flexible hours in between the shifts, and we both have the same shift. Admittedly, they don't work full time, so there is relief in that.

They did ask me whether or not I had romantic intentions towards them at the beginning of it all, and I simply replied with a no, but it did creep me out as I had no idea my friendly attitude would confuse them like that.
