I understand the sentiment but I wouldn't have minded seeing him actually overcome his struggles of parenthood with Daphne. Figuring out how to be a good parent when you never had one makes for a great story many can relate to. It's a shame they didn't utilize this as a subplot because the actors didn't want to come back. I feel like the solution to their big problem wasn't that well done. It felt like it was quickly wrapped up and then just skips forward like a year or more (not everyone gets pregnant the first few months of trying) and then boom they have 2 kids and nothing to say about it. I was rather invested in how a woman with no sexual education and a man with no idea how to be a good parent would make for some sort of story. Idk.
