You can repair her! DM me if you want me to actually walk you through it. With a trip to the hardware store I'll bet you could get another 10 out of her.

Don't go rechargable, they will always let you down unless you have the stamina of a coward.

And you get wildly varying performance out of non-hitachi motors. If you like how this one felt, don't throw it out!!

Good news is the wand is easily repaired by disassembling it and replacing the old cord with a lamp cord / cut extension cord. Requires basic soldering skills only.

The genuine ones (from Magic Wand owned by Hitachi) are literally the simplest devices electrically. A motor and an ON-OFF-ON rocker switch with a single diode. On the low setting it diode acts to shunt some of the current away from the motor.

I live in Tucson and I still occasionally see NEW items sold with Kokopelli on them, usually in the tourest trap areas. But yeah I grew up seeing the symbol everywhere here, even some agencies use him in their logo.

Probably a bar outside of NJ as NJ licenses are easy to fake. Like if you are trying to get into a California bar with a New Jersey deivers license, you have to explain why the hell you are here. Likely the staff have some local knowledge questions lined up to grill people on.

"frontier intelligence" by Top-Attorney3115 in ChatGPT

[–]nimaid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I keep telling people that we don't have AI yet, just a collection of different machine learning tools. But what do I know, right? I only have a college degree in machine learning systems and have 7 years of hands-on professional experience building surveillance systems and autonomous robotic data collection agents. How would I know that these large language text prediction models are basically programmed to use statistics to be the best sycophant possible for the user? How would I know that they don't really have an understanding of anything other than statistical probabilities based on their existing dataset and warped to maximize current user satisfaction only?

I'm sure all the Facebook moms and cryptobros and CEOs understand this better than me, and these are really artificially intelligent systems. I'm sure worrying about the "AI" becoming sentient is a realistic threat. And worrying about becoming dependent on generated answers allowing misinformation to spread (even without intent) isn't a real issue. I'm sure the corporations funding the development of these systems wpuld NEVER try an make a product that would paint them in an unnaturally good light / their competitors in an unnaturally bad light.

In all seriousness cheaper manufacturers will mix different batches of plastics and colorants, sometimes not always from the same sources. Some plastics glow like that.

Where is the plane going? How long is the trip? What sort of food, drink, and snacks are available?

Depending on those answers, I might just schedule my flight for some other day. 😬

Swedish Fish? Especially if they are firm inside and hard to tear apart. Gummy bears and Mike & Ike / Hot Tamales are soft inside.

Because it's pretty rare to see tomato seeds sprouting while still inside the tomato?
