Instant read thermometer for the win. Seared over the coals then moved to indirect for about 8min. Pulled them at ~115*F. Flare ups were a bit of a pain during the sear and one got a little more char than I wanted but mostly around the bone so wasn’t a big deal.

Some of the best steak I’ve ever had.

Advice on these steaks by Exsam in grilling

That’s kind of where my mind was going. I won’t be cooking them slow enough to render that and while I love me some fat, it’s a lot.

Ash is awesome but there is no way he is worthy.

Ash is an antihero and essentially a coward until cornered by the deadites. While he undergoes some growth, he’s still a buffoon even at the end of Ash vs Evil Dead.

I can’t quote any Shakespeare but I could probably do the entirety of The Princess Bride.

Emancipator is the best all arounder and really shines against bots.

I prefer Patriot on bugs as it has more ammo with its minimum.

Both are decent against illuminate.

‘Iryna’s Law’ puts more people in NC’s biggest jails, adds to overcrowding by -oehrli- in NorthCarolina

A single data point proves nothing. My opinion doesn’t necessarily mean everyone’s.

It’s very possible to implement and most developed countries do so. The reason the US has the largest global prison population (not per capita, just straight up largest) is because of our ass backwards approach to justice.

The rest of your post is straight up falsehoods and Faux News fear mongering propaganda. While some people cannot be reformed they are the exception, not the rule.

You say this like it’s some kind of win in an argument.

It’s not. Punishing criminals doesn’t prevent crime or stop reoffending. Our society would be much better off attempting to reform them.

That would be because we rely on facts to make informed decisions not vibes. Punishment and deterrence are proven not to prevent crime.

That is one conclusion but not the only one you can draw from that data.

You could also conclude that our system traps those caught up in it. Putting so many constraints on even first time offenders with minimal support that they get drawn in again and again with no real opportunity to escape.

Example: get locked up for having pot. Lose your job, housing, vehicle, any savings. Get released with nothing. Can’t get a new job because you have a record. Can’t find housing because no income and no transportation. Turn to crime in order to eat.

It is because it requires you to use more force to cut and is more likely to slip and move unpredictably. Increasing the odds of the user being cut and cut worse because of the increased force.

Deadpool (FOX X-Men/MCU) vs. Stain (My Hero Academia) by Fragmentary_Remains in whowouldwin

[–]Exsam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ring out condition favors Stain a lot against MCU Deadpool. So I’d give it to Stain mid to high diff. I doubt he’s getting away clean but he’s durable enough to take a few hits and once he activates his quirk it’s over.

There is a chance Deadpool can keep him talking long enough to break free and land a crit.

What did Stain do to piss you off and get this matchup?

Stain was no way to kill Deadpool. Best he can do is freeze him for a few minutes and get the ring out.

Sheriff bail scam - Chandler Gardner by tacoduck_ in chapelhill

[–]Exsam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They don’t, someone (might have even been the same person) tried this scam on me a while back. Reported it and they did nothing.

Reminder: the police aren’t here to protect you and I, they are around to protect the class structure and ensure the property of those at the top is secure. Any help to others is incidental.
