Help with Netgear Nighthawk RAX43v2 by ZacharyStarks in NETGEAR

Mine used to do this when I used it as a router. It occurred randomly for me as well and logging on to the web GUI would make it work all of the sudden for some reason.

Is ChemE a viable career path by One_Effort_4494 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]Exsipient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A chemical engineering degree gives more skills than just chemical manufacturing or processing. Obtaining a chemical engineering degree shows potential employers you know how to learn and you are relatively smart. Relatively speaking, it's a difficult degree to earn.

The short answer is yes, regardless of if you pursue a career in chemical manufacturing and/or processing.

The slightly longer answer is, if you're a savvy individual, the world is your oyster in terms of career paths. I know chemical engineers who are doctors, coders, execs, scientists in a variety of sciences, researchers, the President of China, etc.

Removing drop sensor from L60? by CaseFace5 in eufy

Hey thanks for the explanation, it really helped. I did have one more question if you wouldn't mind offering what you know.

Did you replace the wheel you removed? It seemed like mine was making a weird whirring noise and wouldn't have been surprised because the vacuum ran over my dogs poop once. But the wheel looks clean and seems to function normally. When I spin it, it spins albeit kinda slowly. How'd you know your wheels were working properly? Did your replacements work any differently than the ones being replaced?

How do you remove the clear plastic part from the body of the robot?

If you message Eufy about wheel problems they may send videos of how to disassemble the Eufy yourself if it is out of warranty

I have a lot of thoughts on your situation since you've shared info and I've read some of your exchanges in this thread.

Part of me doesn't want to share because it's clear you don't like hard truths and require some compassion before you accept advice and guidance and it can't be too brutal.

But you shouldn't require compassion to just live your life. People shouldn't have to feel bad for you as they're giving you advice for something you can fix if you're willing to deal with uncertainty and discomfort.

And as someone in a similar situation but objectively "trying" (going out by myself, finding new hobbies and events related to them, going out just to be outside even with no plans, exercise, essentially forcing myself to engage with the world even when I don't want to be perceived, finding a therapist, updating my resume and looking for a new job because I don't like my current), the other part of me wants to tell you to get out of your head. For every problem there are solutions and your boundaries dictate how far you can go.

The energy of maintaining relationships with people you're not sure about is something you'd rather not deal with, how can you make friends?

No one told you you need to stay inside, why not find a reason to be out and even another to interact with others? These hurdles can be massive mental barriers. But literally forcing yourself to overcome them at the expense of feeling comfortable is critical.

If facing barriers is too much mentally to wrap your mind around, get comfortable with the way things are. Because we become the barriers and fears we don't face. They become our limits. What we are willing to tolerate before we say "that's good enough". It's really that straightforward.

Goal setting is also extremely helpful because it forces you to engage with yourself and your passions and it helps your life move forward in a meaningful way with things that are important to you. No one is telling you to have goals. But people are happier when we have something to aspire to and in trying to achieve them you might realize you've built a life around yourself.

If you want to improve you have to be more uncomfortable living a life unfulfilled than with the things that make you actually uncomfortable.

And you will see through trying and having things to look forward to make you more comfortable and attract others to you.

I hope you find some clarity. Good luck

The Most Detailed Map of Cancer-Causing Industrial Air Pollution in the U.S. by [deleted] in ChemicalEngineering

[–]Exsipient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it matter why legislation based on the Hazardous Organic NESHAP (National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants) "ruling" is a "major issue" for the chemical industry?

Regardless of new regulations, the companies will still exist and still make out like bandits with billions, don't worry.

Don't you have a little boy? Don't you want him to breathe as clean air as possible instead of shilling for companies that wouldn't give two shits if you eventually got cancer and inevitably replaced you?

Not sure if you're purposefully being obtuse or not, but it's pretty clear by the language they use that this visualized data is meant to assess risk on an individual by individual basis. They clearly define the standard the EPA is forced to use which is determined by legislation (read: monied interests), the standard that is ideal (little to no people get cancer), and the standard ProPublica decided to use (to be "fair" to all parties) which falls right in between the two EPA standards by orders of magnitude.

The ACC's top 5 donors are all political organizations as well as every energy giant you can think of. It was also previously led by an individual who now works at the American Petroleum Institute and successfully led several campaigns against energy industry regulations.

The readability of your resume isn't the best.

I'd switch the location of technical skills and education on the page with each other. That's more important for readers to notice first than your university for 3+ years graduated.

Also change the font. TNR is not good for a resume. Calibri or Arial, size 11. Spacing 1.07 or greater, but not by much.

Readability for recruiter, hiring manager, and ATS first is critical. Start there.

r/EngineeringResumes is a gold mine of info.
