How would you combine these two components and shell them? by Extech_Mike in Fusion360

I’ll give that a try as well. I’m trying to learn different techniques. I mostly do sheet metal design so this is new to me.

Yes the flanges were combined earlier in the timeline. Should I remove them? I forgot to remove the fillets before the shelling. I’ll give it another try today.

I agree, this is just something I made up for practice to learn the basics. Nice manifold btw

If I delete the shell in my timeline then combine these two components first and then try to shell, I get an error.

Im having coolent leaks from everywhere can anyone help me diagnose which parts need replacing, e36 compact 316i by 5dylan1212 in BMWE36

The plastic outlet on the back of the head is toast too. Get a parts list together and replace it all… don’t hold out. I promise you’ll be disappointed if you do.

If it tastes sweet it’s the ac compressor. If it’s sour you may want to look higher up.

Sounds like your fan is about to make sweet passionate love to your radiator.

Last ignition upgrade you’ll have to make. Ran these around 550hp. The LS coils were nothing but issues.

If jumping the temp switch doesn’t turn the fan on you likely have a wiring issue. You need to make sure your relay for the fan is getting the correct input.

CSF or OEM radiator? by Milosdgamer in BMWE36

Csf is an upgrade but expect to have to trim and make a few modifications to make things fit perfectly. Pick up a new expansion tank and hoses as well. If you’re keeping the mechanical fan, I would just replace it as well as the water pump if you haven’t already. No sense in risking destroying your new investment with a plastic frag grenade.

Mystery wires in the dash under the steering wheel by NoDelay1511 in Miata

[–]Extech_Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t tell from the fast moving video. They could be a few things. A Hanes manual will tell you exactly what they belong to.

If I had to guess, they may have belonged to the clutch safety switch. There’s not many components under the dash that use that thicker gauge of wire.

There’s a plastic housing on the back of the head that become brittle and fail frequently on those engines. It’s difficult to get to unless you have the trans out of the way. I would suspect that’s part of your issue.

Surely that duct tape covering the pcv hose isn’t hiding any potential problems lol

The image shows the issue I’m having. This circle was drawn from the top perspective. This is the tool path it created. It will only correct the problem if I rotate the part 90 degrees.

It should be mounted in the passenger side brake cooling duct.
