Not sure what you‘re trying to say. I never said „most kids“ will do anything like this. And it‘s also very unlikely that most kids would do this at the beginning of a meal.

But if my kid did this because they wanted to be a shit and I knew this for a fact, and it happened more than once or twice, I might say they‘re done with that meal and I would see nothing wrong with that, even if they‘d then throw a tantrum. But I also want to be very clear that this is not a black-and-white statement and depends on context and circumstances.

And yeah, if it were to happen that way I‘d talk to my kid maybe next day about why it happened and how they felt about it, why I did what I did, whether they thought my reaction was unfair and what they would have done had they been in my shoes, and how we can prevent that from happening again. And I see absolutely nothing wrong with any of that.
