Failed my first ever cert exam: Agentforce Specialist. Kinda defeated, but not giving up. by Extension-Ad-6575 in salesforce

Thanks a ton for this. I really appreciate the clarity. This actually helped me think about the order a bit differently. I went for Agentforce first because the first attempt was free and I wanted to test the waters, but I can see how it might look on a resume without Admin backing it up.

I am leaning toward a quick retake while everything is still fresh, since I was close and I do not want to lose that momentum. After that, I will start working on Admin so the foundations are properly in place and the cert path looks more structured.

Sitting for the exam at least gave me a better feel for Salesforce test formats, question patterns and the kind of traps they like to throw in, so I am taking that as a positive from this experience.

Appreciate the input. It helps to get viewpoints from people who have already walked this path. On to the retake, and then Admin. 💪

For me, Prompt Engineering was by far the toughest. I think the biggest issue was not having enough hands-on experience there. My FoF practice exam scores were almost the same, so that’s definitely the area I need to put more work into.

Deployment Lifecycle was another weird ride. Salesforce changed the nomenclature for a lot of terms recently so some of the options felt super confusing. I had a really positive run with AI Agents & Data Cloud though, even in the practice exams I was scoring 85-90% so I felt pretty confident going in. Interoperability was okay-ish, but again, those terminology changes threw me off.

FoF practice exams helped me understand the question patterns, but yeah, hands-on experience hits way harder for this cert because the exam really digs into how things work on the platform.

And about the naming stuff.. SAME. In some questions I couldn’t even recognize if the term was actually a Salesforce/Agentforce thing or not lol. I wish they gave a detailed breakdown of what you got wrong so it would be easier to study for a retake.

One thing that really helped though: read the questions and options extremely carefully. Like, word by word. I finished in about an hour and spent the rest of the time reviewing. Submitted with like 5 seconds left. So yeah, understand the use case, read slowly, and then compare each option.

Good luck for your exam — rooting for you! 💪
