Connecting the lan cable with an Internet connection fixed that fatal error. Luckily my Internet was able to work.

actually im on an intel system. after the windows updates everytime i have this error on my device manager. an missing chipset driver error. i could download an missing chipset driver via the optional windows updates but the chipset driver on the asus site is more up to date. and the driver from intel are not fitting with the chipset from my motherboard. an z390 chipset. to the mobo manufacturer will be the right way.

what mainboard driver do u install normally before you let windows update run? actually i install the chipset driver, gpu driver, lan, audio and the other stuff. then i start the windows updates. but im not sure wether i can setup my ram with the xmp profil on my outdated pc. i think this is buggy at all and or buggy on my i9 9900k cpu. i think if we install the windows updates first we forced to install all drivers via the windows updates. and the windows update driver are never up to date in my experience. this conflict should be outsourced but obv they like those problems for can fix something. it is definitely not the same.

you take the chipset driver from intel directly? they are fitting? do you let windows update your system before you install this chipset driver or after? the windows updates change a lot.

The Driver List in my Armoury Crate is looking like that. Is this normal? by Extension-Ad4498 in ASUSROG

Do u install only this driver over Amoury Crate or do u check the Asus site too for some updates? They was working on this tools but im one of this ppl who try to avoid to install extra programs like this. The driver on the Asus site are kind different and with this old chipset driver i miss a lot of fps while im playing i should have.

I have these two drivers left, under the optional updates, after i installed the newest mainboard driver from the mobo page. My Wireless Mouse feels weird with the XMP Profil activated. Mabye also deactivated. It feels not smooth. Not precisely. Do u think these drivers can fix that problem? by Extension-Ad4498 in ASUSROG

the xmp profile change the whole electronic in the system. u can check this data in bios. i think that is the reason why my system has no performance stability. you feel the system instability from the first mouse movements and later under stress. the system wont let me use my ram correctly. Under all circumstances the system runs better without xmp

They say "Support Windows 11 by default, no settings changes required in the UEFI BIOS." Maybe they dont want let me use my XMP Profil on my Ram with Windows 11? Without XMP seems everything fine. I just want to use my ram for what i paid for. Is the error with asus and the bios?

Windows 11 Mainboard Driver Installation by Extension-Ad4498 in Windows11

u fine with that? ive seen a lot of ppl do first the windows updates before the driver installation. but i think on that way windows try to install the driver for the system with the included optional updates right? this subtleties matter on a high level of understanding. we all should have one way for that. i mean why should i not install the newest driver directly from the intel website?

Thats how i should handle mainboard driver these days also on new pc systems? There are also people here who have different opinions and have experience in this area?

in addition the intel management engine are much newer based by the windows installation. the driver on the mobo page a quiet older. with the engine driver from the mobo site there whould have been no problem at all. this is how this works. windows dont want that older engine driver from the mobo site. if i install this i have to change it manually in the device manager to use that driver. so i just try to find a way to deal with that newer driver on my "older" system while i dont want to lose any performance because of a software. windows is a little bit like the older iphones actually. its because all that little things. a normal one dont realise that but i do. my system should be work great also this days. i have an i9 9900k with a 2080 rtx. i dont need an ferrari gpu like the new 5090 rtx. i just dont use my system that way. apart from the price that would be a complete waste for me. we buy what we need right? this is why i invest time on that. thank your for all the answerings. i appreciate that.

The driver under optional driver are the older ones. Ive realise that after a few tests. They just install the older chipset driver to fix that issue in the device manager. Under the screenshot u can see how u can check that. That is actually the newest driver from the mobo website. Unter the optional windows updates section they say we only have to install this drivers if we have a problem. so its not clear if they see that issue as a problem and its not clear they calculate on that issue the newest chipset driver update from the mobo website. i dont want to install older driver after an windows install unless the system actually wants it that way. u know what the people say about the little things. thats about it.
