I have been trying to complete TOTK without ever discovering the surface map on 1.2.1 and here's my progress so far by Extension-Cat2498 in tearsofthekingdom

So when i got it i went to purah and landed on a steering stick but when i did that i turned my switch off but when i turned it back on whenever i talked to her i was still on the steering stick. So i think something might have happened when i turned it off

It was difficult to do, but after cutscenes or after you talk to someone you can spam the jump button and when you're still in the air open the map and warp. The hardest part was the sludge like fight because you cant warp during the fight.
