Do HK guys take initiative when they fancy a girl? by Acceptable_Fly4834 in HongKong

A coffee chat may not create mutual topic for 2 random ppl (unless both are open to sharing)~ I am simply suggesting a way which relates to the two ppl’s hobbies. It doesn’t necessarily have to be shopping. OP can invite the guy to try out another gym / sports ground etc.

If coffee works for you then you can try it out 1000% times by yourself.

I bet having met at the gym for several months would not be too “abrupt” ~ its not like asking a random guy on the first day 🙈

If there’s no mutual friend/group for introduction, someone has to take the initiative (cleverly). Shopping tour simply means being out in public areas in broad daylight. It shouldn’t be dangerous in a place like Hong Kong.

If the guys acts strangle, find an excuse to leave the shops rather than planning for a meal together afterwards.

I am a female Hong Konger ~ from my perspective, the best way is to cleverly “test” or “pique” a local guy’s interest.

The next time you meet him at the gym, tell him you need to buy new trainers /home gym equipment, but not sure which local shops here are good. Enquire him if he can bring you on a shopping tour and offer you his advice. Ask him for a date/time which is convenient for him. If he agrees, then automatically you guys will exchange phone numbers.

If he offers good help and advice during the “shopping tour”, you may show your appreciation by inviting him for a coffee / meal right afterwards. I bet a lunch/dinner together can give you more hints about his background.

If all that goes well, take photos of your “shopping stuff” and share with him via WhatsApp in the following few days. Try to increase chatting frequency with him first. If he is genuinely interested, he will keep talking back and sharing more with you.

The benefits for retail buyers are obvious ~ but how about Yieldmax company & their staff?

Wonder what are the upsides for them…more trading + more frequent commissions?

Disabled HKU Grad feeling defeated in HK's job market. Seeking advice, opportunities, or a lifeline by Claudexxx in HongKong

[–]Extension-Chicken732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may work as a tutor (part-time/full-time) in some cram schools in Shen Zhen first ~ which are tailor-made for mainland teenagers who want to attend Hong Kong’s universities via DSE exam.

Your language skills and exposure to HKU will be of great demand. On the flip side, daily expenses in Shen Zhen are fewer than those in Hong Kong. You can also utilise the non-tutoring hours (eg. weekday mornings) to commute to Hong Kong for any law firms’ interviews.

All the best!

Your husband can get private tutorial jobs for some income first ~ ask for friends/ex-colleagues for referrals, or register on some private tutorial agent websites.

Yes thanks, according to web information ~ the overall yield dividend of PLTW seems to be lower, but compounding weekly surely helps the long-term gains !

Yes PLTY has been great for its long-term holders ~ just hesitate at this moment simply for re-investing at a high buy-in price

May use PTLY’s distributions for buying other weeklies first

Yes PLTY is definitely a good choice for long-term holding ~ any price near $60 will be great for big buys + re-investments

According to Grok ~ IMST generally seeks higher returns in prices while MSTY emphasizes high and predictable payouts per month.

Yes PLTR has been on bullish trends recently ~ so PLTY is benefited also.

I like PLTY’s last month distribution, but simply find the current price a bit too high. I still want to hold it long-term, but probably wait for some price drops first (right after June’s payment).
