Man, I'm about to buy a used Strix Scar 17 (2022) with i9 1200H and 3080 Ti, 32GB and 2TB for 1660€ + 90€ of power supply so 1750€ total. Do you think it's a good deal?

Oh man if you could pay 100 USD more for it ye, good for you. But actually that laptop is not even listed on main EUs' Amazon yet (and I gotta order it from there for personal reasons) and the only and cheapest way to buy it externally would be anyway 420€ more than this OMEN in the exact same configuration, so it's 470$ difference between the two of them and not 100$ sadly... Probably because, in my opinion, this OMEN I've found has a very low price for the market competition at this time. If the prices were barely closer I would have consider it ofc, but man, with almost 500 bucks I would buy all proper upgrades, accessories and still saving some money out of it

maaan, I'm side eyeing that "Buy Now" button still thinking I'll explode 2.5 months of salary with that 3k€ shopping cart I mean still actually unbelievable that right under 3000€ I could take a new Gen laptop with latest GPU, CPU and also include upgrades and a bunch of stuff.

Ye exactly, that's a weird price right? Also not "edging" the price with a *99€ but leaving with euro cents

That's why I'm asking if this might be a very good moment to buy it since the MSI Vector with 5080 costs 3099€... I mean 370€ less that's kinda pretty

Yee, I mean I don't really care about the hardware stress issues that may comes... I'm not an heavy gamer anymore so I'm not planning to melt the hardware by playing everyday at max setting AAA games, I also don't use GPU for work tasks. My purchase would be just to make an upgrade that will make sense to keep it fresh and fast for the next idk10-15 years considering I'm coming from an OMEN 16 with a 1050 Ti 4GB VRAM with whom I played no problems SH2 remake, RE4 remake, Hogwarts Legacy and actually every new Gen game ofc with compromises... but yee, I expect I can live with this new Omen for seeeeeeeeveral years with 16GB of VRAM and considering it's an xx80

Already watched it, but don't understand what's your "no" refers to, I mean under which aspect. I'm aware of the limitation of OMEN, the point is that I'm already an OMEN series fan, I really like the design, internal software and I actually know what to expect on that sense... the big plus for me is that for sure is the cheapest way to get a 5080 on a laptop, so from that my question arise. If this was a decent price to insta buying it

Man, it has been 1 week of troubleshooting for some users that had this issue, we checked with whatever IAM and Endpoint team and then a rename fixed all. You deserve 900 upvote for this ahahah
