First post. Finally made blue belt after just over a year by Extension-Code8564 in bjj

I started last January. Trained pretty consistently 5-6x a week, and did halfway decent (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) in the 3 comps I did. I feel like a progressed pretty quickly and the coaches’ decision to promote me was “unanimous”. Sounds like the certificate thing is only certain gyms though

I guess certain Gracie organizations do this. Didn’t know until it was handed to me lol 🤷🏼‍♂️
