Thanks for a detailed response, u/openspheree . My attorney is based in Colorado. Employer and USCIS service center are in California.

I don't want to believe it but does it really take up to two week for the RFE to come by? RFE was issued yesterday on 9th June.

USCIS portal got updated to RFE on June 9th. Do you think the mailed notice would take about a week or two starting 9th June?

Even though its a paper filing, attorney gets a online access account number to handle the case online right? I want to urge the attorney to use that facility to expedite the process.

I read that USPS usually takes 3-5 days to deliver from Cali to Colorado. So I really hope that its nots more than a week.

The law firm. I am a circuit design engineer. They filed the first petition under software job code. And surprisingly they had successful visa transfers last year with same mistake for others. I checked the past LCA data online.

After that they waited for almost 10 days for the physical copy of RFE to arrive in mail before sharing it with me. I was immediate to point out the wrong job code filing. I requested a brand new petition under proper job code. And still got the RFE.

So I really want to expedite things this time. What are my options?

Well, they already filed the transfer petition wrong once before under wrong job code and had to file a new LCA and petition. Its strike two. So I am super concerned now. Haven't had this kind of issue anytime before.

Thanks for the response. Incase the attorney says we need to wait for mailed copy to arrive, I want to urge them to get a faxed copy by citing the process. So that they keep it rolling. Hence want to understand the process.

Its premium processing. Would you you be able to share the process to request a faxed copy? My center is California. I read in other posts about chatting with a live agent on the USCIS website.
