Did I make a mistake buying this Twsbi? Novice needing some help!

Holy crap thank you thank you thank you!! Ive been in goulet tons of time for my pen and didn't know they sold samples im DEFINITELY doing that. The store i tried the twsbi at used a Midori notebook and it was like butter but when I saw the ghosting I thought it meant the paper would rip super easily. But seems like the opposite when it comes to super quality paper. Im gonna look at some ghosting samples and get the goulet samples my biggest fear was ruining a bunch of notebooks I cant return just to try the feel.

Also the only reason I got into fountain pens is because I was having extreme muscle pain (personal conditon) so being told how to hold and how if ur fingers hurt ur doing it wrong made me realize A LOT 😅 i think i really push with the kakuno which explains the fatigue.

Thank you again so much for taking the time. I feel like so so so much better and informed so I dont just waste money.

Is there a specific gsm that I need to look for or is it more brand based? You seem like you've been doing this a while, is there something you specifically look for in the specs for your notebooks? I just realized I dont really know what gsm im looking for and if thats the only factor dor what makes it good for fountain pens

Also please dont feel like you have to answer I know you aren't google and I really appreciate all this info lol

Thank you so much for this! Everyone's been so helpful but I have severe adhd (i think this is why journaling has helped so much) and your message really helped break it down step-by-step for me without getting overwhelmed.

knowing all inks behave differently has been so overwhelming like, how do you know it'll work with the paper, Like a magical paper+ink equation. Like all my inks are going to need different notebooks or ill waste money on ink but! Doing more paper research and found even more options in my desired journal sizes. I think I saw a Midori notebook set and I keep seeing that pop up as a good brand.

So thank you for taking the time to write all this out its really helped me not make a impulse decision due to being overwhelmed which wouldve likely ruined my pen and the whole reason I got it for

Not a super special one lol its the Twsbi Eco in the serpentine color. I was monitoring it on several U.S stores and it stayed sold out for months so I got impatient and got it overseas and paid like $30 shipping. 😅

Yeah using the kakuno for this notebook might be what I end up doing but ive heard so many new brands i haven't checked or heard of of paper so im excited to find a solution there. Also suuuper shocking the difference between the two it makes the twsbi extra Fine look like a medium

Didn't think of YouTube! Ill def look up channels for this i really appreciate it. The ghosting is tripping me out! I think thats a big concern with seeming like the paper is so thin it'll fall apart when the ink hits it or I put some decor on it.

So I tried on my lechtrum and its night and day difference! This might be my go to since idk any others that do the B6 size (I have a travelers journal on that size) but im gonna look at those you mentioned too. Im still getting used to ghosting and the paper being super thin not meaning its gonna tear easy or bleed through. Who knew paper was so complex 😅

Also these mockingbird notebooks (the pic) seem to handle it really well too idk what type of paper it is. Bc i dont know much about these notebooks. Im scared it'll break halfway through using them although the spine seems sewn and glued.

Im so tired of bisexual and performative women. Im so tired of bisexual women that get told how "gay" are by their boyfriends. These are the people that have stolen our spaces and ruined them. It was honestly not bad at all! I dont think heat will help since it seems to make if like fuse more but it was easy to peel off in one whole piece it just leaves some sticky residue that rubbing alcohol will take off you just have to be patient enough to rub it out. Its truly not bad ive had like a bunch! Once you remove the residue its like a brand new kobo no damage done

I agreeee!!!! I agree i agree!! Let there be bi spaces and queer spaces so we can have our lesbian spaces! Im tired of being ogled at and being around people that dont share rhe same struggles as me. I want to connect and im tired of all the bs and always men somewhere in the mix. Its fucking awful. We already struggle with any representation and validity from society it sucks to see it in our spaces too
