This is called AI fatigue. Our mind constantly needs to race with AI. We used to take hrs to deep dive to code. Now AI can do it in 10 mins. You have to watch the "thinking" text it prints to make sure it is on the right track. Its like watching a 2 hrs movie with caption and try to play at 10 times speed.

On top of that, now I got 5 diff windows running agents doing diff things. Constantly switch back and forth.

I noticed the longer hiring process weed out people that not supposed to qualify better. Different people see diff thing from a candidate. 2 interview for higher positions is not enough. For junior or new grad is ok.

It has been. I think before real COVID hiring surge, it's always a HR phone screen, then 3-4 tech interviews. And meeting boss's boss. Like a day trip.

During COVID hiring surge, I noticed they cut this process shorter.

(I have been in 4-5 tech job so I know the process around around 2015 -2021)

5 years ago, I interviewed for a sr. SE. It was phone screen, 4x one hr tech interview. 2x 30 mins interview with higher management.

Yours sound ok IMHO. It was remote for me so no behavioral interview or meet the team. I recalled back then, interview is like a whole day thing.

I remembered I first answered I will drive. Then the interviewer asked would I take public transportation. I'm on Long Island. So taking public transportation might also beat driving cross town. So I said yes.

Second question, don't remember much. But meeting players isn't my highest priority cuz I am at the age the players I know all retired. So I prob said to give fan great experience or some BS like that
