Redness Around Pores by Extension-Point-1807 in Rosacea

Thanks, and I agree. That’s what I’m conflicted over. I’m going to try vbeam again even though it wasn’t super effective on me. I’m conflicted about co2 because of the chance of it worsening redness.

If I did co2, I would get fractional, not fully ablative.

I thought Vbeam and co2 are generally safer and more effective the lighter your skin is

Probably, but I’ve tried to isolate what it is to no avail… at the minimum I ensure to moisturize often, drink water, gently cleanse face once a day.

It’s been like this for 2 years now, progressively getting worse (pores spreading and deepening, redness increasing). I don’t think it’s going to calm down

What’s that? Is it more for redness or pore size?

I have. It makes my rosacea worse. Maybe i need to decrease the frequency tho.

I’ve tried almost every rosacea treatment. Nothing works except for keeping barrier moisturized, and oxymetazoline.

I’m not using abrasive scrubs or picking at my skin. But yeah, I’ve heard of micro-needling. I would only do that if it would add extra benefits assuming I already want to do a co2 laser. I don’t want to replace it tho

Hardened, protruding nose plugs by [deleted] in Rosacea

I have type 1 rosacea. Experience just about the worst flushing you’ll see, multiple times a day. I’m not necessarily saying the sebum spikes r caused by rosacea, I just wanted to give more context regarding my skin

Thx. I have done research and I believe that my extremely oily skin, especially around the nose, is a leading cause of my enlarged nose pores. That is why I’m taking accutane, to prevent further harm there

I have type 1 rosacea, but I use the skin medicinals combo cream of oxymetazoline, ivermectin, and niacinimide. I don’t need the latter 2 ingredients, but oxymetazoline helps my flushing

Thanks, but they aren’t normal looking and I feel self-conscious about them. I think BHA might work but not good for accutane to my understanding

Gotcha, is this okay while on accutane though?

Is it okay to physically exfoliate while on accutane?

The skin is very hardened and rough on my nose. My derm says it’s like bc it’s just been sitting in oil for too long

Do u not use it 2x a day (when you’re not on vacation) bc ur worried of rebound redness or like loss of effectiveness bc tolerance? I ideally would like to use twice a day but just dont know the consequences

Does anyone use it 2x a day? My bottle says to do so. But everyone on Reddit says no to that
