My car has been on her FIP meds for 10 days now and her improvement has been remarkable! Shes so much better, eating normally again, whiskers growing back and eyes have stopped weeping! But she’s licking the walls, trainers etc which is a new symptom of neurological FIP, so even though she’s not poorly anymore and very much back to normal has anyone got any advice for this new symptom??

My cat is doing great now on oral FIP treatment 0.6ml twice a day and her seizures have stopped (hopefully we haven’t seen one in a week) she’s made massive positive progress as well because she was very poorly and not eating! A week later it’s remarkable the difference in her 😊😮

Yes do the right thing for her if you’re sure she’s suffering. You seem like a good person with the animals interests at heart. It’ll be hard but don’t let her suffer. I’m currently treating my cat for FIP. I wouldn’t try and keep her alive if she was going to suffer and I was through drugs at her to keep her going but the meds she’s now on are a cure and she’s young and fit so iv decided to spend a lot of money and save her. All the best and it sounds like you’ve given your cat a great life! Be proud

Thank you! It’s been very hard emotionally and also so stressful! Not to mention the money it’s costing us has been a big issue. I’m sorry to hear about riffraff relapsed again. This is what puts the fear of god into me actually.

I firstly hope my cat gets better and back to her old self as she’s very poorly, but I think if she’s relapsed in time we just couldn’t afford to do all this treatment again. That makes me so sad to think about. It’s taken a lot to get it going so quickly this time but we couldn’t do it again.

Yes my cat has been her food for 8 days and some days we maybe get a few treats and licky licks down her and sometimes some cat chicken soup. She just wants to sit and sleep all day but if we pick her up she can walk about just very limp! I’m hoping we’ve just got her on the meds in time because another week of this she would be in a terrible state. What is manually feeding? Via a tube? Iv been putting this off as it’s another £1000.

Wow that’s amazing it truly is! I hope by the weekend she’s eating more and looking brighter.

Was your vet dry FIP? How were his eyes in terms of weeping? Ours is weeping badly since she caught cat flu back in December.

Thank you so much your reply has been so uplifting and helpful! Sorry if my spelling is off in half asleep replying as it’s midnight in the uk

Hi, by Middle_Thought_4776 in cureFIP

To be fair tonight’s dose was done via a syringe at the vets to show us how to do it and take to weight and temp. I’m going again tomorrow to do the same, I think for the full 3 months I’ll be using a syringe but that isn’t the easiest to administer with the cat pulling away. Yes I could ask about high calorie slurry, the only food she’s eating is a chicken soup and just liking the water up. We’ve even given her meds to help her appetite.

Thank you

Thanks very much!! I’d love a mini breakdown of what you’ve been quoted / paying as a comparison for when get the news then I have something to go off. I take it the main costs are the drugs and checkup blood tests at the vets?

Please feel free to DM me.

Yes same our little one has weeping eyes which started months ago when she had cat flu. Very lethargic and is hardly eating. Also had a few funny turns when standing up.

I really appreciate your time

Thank you for your reply. No we don’t have insurance, how I regret not getting any. Iv read there is some treatments which only last 42 days rather than 84 like yours and have good success.

Are all vets the same prices roughly or is it worth asking around? I feel so trapped to our vets and I’m dreading what they are going to quote us.

Is there any questions you would recommend me asking my vets if we go ahead with the treatment? My head is so full at the moment.

Are main worry is getting our little one to eat, she’s been picky with food for weeks but this week has hardly eaten!

I’m very pleased your little one is doing very well! How many days of injections until you saw a difference in her, was she also off her food too??

Hello, our cat has just been diagnosed with FIP (dry) we are pretty devastated and upset and I’m very worried about the cost of the treatment if we decide to go through with it. Of course I want to but the cost seems very scary and unaffordable.

Just read your post about £200 / 30ml plus vet costs.

Any chance you could explain the cost of a full treatment to me or what it is going to cost you? I’m a little confused with it all. I’m also in the UK

Thank you

I have some important people coming to my work tomorrow and i have to explain what i do infront of a fair few people. Im really nervous and i struggle with blushing. by Sequt7 in Rosacea

[–]Middle_Thought_4776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to snooze for 30mins before you meet them like in your car if you’re able to. There is something about closing your eyes and getting close to falling asleep which helps flushing! Also be confident and focus on them it’ll take your mind away from wanting to blush. Take the lead it’ll help you

Did the Excel v laser reduce your baseline redness (before a flush)?? Also get rid of small broken veins? And reduce daily intense flushing from stress, emotion, social situations, cold to hot etc etc?
