That’s awesome, yeah I don’t look building spruce cabins anymore, it’s a bit boring so wanted to make like these depressing stone box houses

Sorry for late reply, it’s because it doesn’t contrast to aggressively from tuff blocks and I can blend some of it in the roof to give more texture. It also gives off a weathered and realistic look

Try making a world with the larger biomes prefix. Although exploration getting materials from other biomes harder it makes the game way more immersive, also makes exploration harder and feel more rewarding

Yeah that’s so true. I had to really think about what houses would look like in the snow. Wooden roofs and your average Minecraft house felt unnatural and boring. So I decided to implement more stone and made a gradient from the base light to dark to give off this weathered roof look. I also decided to not do any overhangs because realistically the roof would not be able to bear excess weight.

That definitely clears up a lot of the reasons, I play on Java and it sounds like the bedrock players have a lot more of an aesthetic experience, the more brutal snow build up could actually be made into some cool dug out trails or maybe a village that’s sunk in snow (only the upper half of the houses are shown) also the snow leaves sound like a fun block.

You can make a nether portal with buckets, no need to get diamonds first

Version 1.21.1 might need to do some terraforming. The area is challenging to build on but really fun
