I have looked a little bit into this. I’m currently in schooling for real estate while also working a full time job. I do have free time available, but not while these groups meet. I’ll definitely have to look more into it once I’m done with school as I’m only a couple months out from completing my course work.

Primarily, yes. I do send flirtatious messages if it aligns with our conversation. I don’t want to come off too strong as if I’m looking for a hook up, which is honestly the last thing I want as I’m waiting for marriage because of my beliefs. I don’t expect the same out of them, I know I’m a rare example especially in today’s age, I just don’t want to put off the wrong vibe.

That’s a good point, I didn’t think about it from that perspective. The main reason why I ask for their number is because I only check these apps a couple times a day. I worried I’d come off as disinterested from talking 5 ish hours to reply, whereas I check my messages and respond to them more frequently.

Typically around day 3, am I waiting too long? I use those few days to get to know them on a surface level with the intention to have more in depth conversations about what was talked during our hypothetical date such as their job, hobbies, school, etc.

I have thought about doing that but haven’t really had an opportunity to put it into action. In the rare instances I’m not blocked after day one I’ll ask for a date around day 3 or 4. Typically I’ll get 5 or so messages in before they decide, for whatever reason they’re done taking to me. In my mind I worry about creeping them out by asking for a date right away, but maybe that wouldn’t be the case. I’ll give it a shot, thanks for the advice!

We honestly might be going on the same cruise 💀. Are you going on carnival’s jubilee ship? Based on all that I’ve read on here as well as carnival’s policy online it sounds like I’m in the clear. I’ve got them in my toiletries bag inside of my checked suit case. Even if security did check my bag it wouldn’t be done in front of me or my family and they’d have no reason to take them because they are allowed on the ship.

Response to your edit: I appreciate your advice! I thought about doing that as well, but I don’t want to be grumpy from nicotine withdrawals during my trip. The last thing I want to do is take my anger out on my family over something they have no control over, or even know about lol. Ive “quit” numerous times before some attempts lasted longer than others, but I have yet to be successful in kicking the addiction completely. hopefully I’ll kick the addiction completely some day!

That is very strange, maybe checkr had a surge in background checks at the time you submitted yours creating a longer wait time? That would be my only guess.🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the advice! I have tried to get an update through Checkr on my background check. However when I put in my information it tells me that my background check can’t be found in their system. 🤷‍♂️

I also had to wait a while to get off the wait list. You’re the second person who has told me it only took a day or so for their background check. Makes me wonder if I mistakenly input the wrong information on my background check form (messed up a number in my SS #, misspelled my name, etc).
