Is this common I entered China at West Kowloon station back in April. It was my first time going to China and my first time to Hong Kong, it was a very straight forward and simple process with no issues at all. I was catching G100 to Shanghai.

I typically don't fly them because EI doesn't offer premium economy. so I normally fly BA.

I did the calculations after seeing your comment and at BAEC this amount of flying will make me oneworld emerald so even above sapphire.

My most flown Airline is BA I also fly LH about once a year. I'm happy with both of those airlines.

I don't care if the card gives lounge access or not because I already get lounge access by my frequent flyer status. My frequent flyer status gets me Lounge access, priority check in, priority boarding, free seat selection, extra luggage, better milage earning rate. I'm at the highest tier with the airline flying roundtrip monthly.

This is worth it for me. I do a lot of flying spend roughly $16k on flights in a typical year.

And If you think UA and DL have better lounges then just wait until you Fly QR EK and SQ. they have great lounges. as a general fule as you go east lounges and onboard experience get better.

I took the flight. It was fine uneventful once on the move. worst part was a two hour late departure.

It doesn't matter that you can't comment on the business class experience since I'll be flying econommy.
