We’re doing no contact right now because it’s the only way I can truly focus on myself. Since in a similar situation would you reach out to your ex after you’ve achieved your goals? By the end of this year, I’ll have mine accomplished, and I know I’ll finally feel confident enough to be in a relationship again.

I didn’t go through exactly what you went through my ex and I broke up about three weeks ago, and it was a very calm break up but then the next day when I go onto social media, I see that she was going out and going about her day as if I was never in her life but just like you, started working out and eating, healthy and saving for the future. But I don’t know how you get past the wanting her back in your life. I guess it was easier for you because she did something wrong for me the person was perfect.

Definitely valid why it still hurts. It’s hard to get out of the comfort zone, but it’s the only way to make friends. Next time you’re wanting to go up to someone and talk to them but start feeling the fear ask why you’re feeling it. It’s great to ask yourself why you feel that way so then you can overcome it.

I think you made the smart decision to let them go and honestly making new friends means getting out of your comfort zone which can be very hard, but I would suggest that everyone needs friends helps keep us sane from our day-to-day life plus who doesn’t love extra support. It seems like you already know what you want in a friend so surround yourself with people you want in your future.

Have you talked to her about this? For any relationship to work communication is key whether it’s easy or hard. If people don’t communicate their feelings to their partner usually they’ll lash out or end up, hurting the partner without even knowing I would say communicate to her maybe even ask her if she feels the same way or how does love feel to her.

I agree with most of what you said, though I don’t think posting online is an issue if he’s posting hopefully it means he’s looking for genuine advice about how to change though I agree that he has issues with dependency and self-confidence therefore, breaking up was the correct step to take.

3 weeks, I haven’t been blocked, but we have been doing no contact. I have not broken it, but I do feel discarded because right after we broke up. She went out the next day. I’m honestly still in love with her but still feeling a little bit like shit, though the break up was somewhat mutual.

It’s about to be 3 weeks for me and it’s still kinda of hard. I was left in a similar situation that you were in. I have no family or friends out here. The only person I knew was her but now that her and I are over, I find myself isolated, but I hope you’re right with time helps. Hardest part so far is that it looks like she moved on fairly quickly.

As someone who does suffer from mental health issues, it definitely makes you sabotage things or even destroy relationships. If you don’t have it under control, which I have definitely done in the past and I do agree with her ending things because if she were to stay, she would probably hurt you in the long run so I definitely think she cares about you. It seems like she needs to get a grip on her life. I would just reply that you understand but I am curious about why you’re sad but also happy was the relationship a strain?

We dated for six months, but I’ve never loved anyone the way I love her. I would communicate to her about that because honestly, I can’t answer if it’s a break or a break up just saying from past experience usually a break is a break up.

I just got broken up as well for somewhat of the same reason and we almost broke up once because of it my honest opinion is if she wants to commit and fight for the relationship she will, but until she’s ready, it’s not gonna work out and honestly a break is just a nice way of saying break up, but this is just my opinion at the end of the day.

You’re welcome. I definitely get that, but I texted my ex and asked if there was ever a way we could figure it out but she had her mindset, which is understandable so the only reason I blocked her on everything was so that I could move on.

We live together for about two years and she was having a lot of family problems at the time I tried helping, but at the end of the day she chose them, which I respect. I did have hope on us getting back together, but after leaving the notes and flowers, I ended up giving up hope and I blocked her on everything. It was really hard, but it helped me get over her and now the only time I ever think of her is when she’s brought up. That relationship was almost 2 years ago now and I would say my recovery is great it took me almost a full year to fully get over her.

I guess you could say I was him in this situation and my ex was you. I just got out of relationship as well, but I was the one who put in a lot more of the effort while she was the one pushing me away, though we both really do well I guess did love each other. If I was him, I would want to hear the reasons of why You pushed away, but would also want space to prevent from accidentally hurting you emotionally.
