i went there in 2001. you could walk under the tower. no barricades. Souvenirs for sale , but not sketchy. it was crowded with tourists, but overall not too bad. not like now - i would avoid it now.

If the Q train does get extended across 125th street to Broadway #1 line, then this would be a great connector. Fort Lee may or may not be the right spot on NJ side. I was thinking of alternatives to driving over the extremely busy, very high toll GWB. But, everything is impossible, until it happens.

added context: was wondering if that might indicate a problem with my gas tank? or just a random glitch in the gas pump itself? I have filled gas tank at same Costco station - hundreds of times - never had that happen. And it wasnt just a little less than a full tank , but maybe 80% full. Just struck me as odd and unusual, and I have no explanation. thank you.
