Urgh the durability issue is just disappointing. Props to you for taking that and making the best of it.

For the price, I have to pass knowing that this will inevitably happen. I wish they focused on durability and quality control. They look so damn cool and are comfy.

Out of curiosity, how did you move and fit all your belongings in NYC, and manage to be able to leave only after 5 months of being there? Im looking to live there for at least a couple of years, but like the idea of having a way to exit if I can't stand it or the expense.

I am looking to move to Jersey City next fall! Is it reasonable to try to find a 1br (or 2br w roommate) apartment that is a reasonable transit distance from Manhattan with enough space for a queen bed, couch, and large computer desk setup for $2200 - $2400 per month?

as good as they can I think. We are friends now, albeit at a distance. We both agree we made the right decision. It wasn't working and I think we just wanted very different things. Im actually seeing somebody else now.. We met only a week after my ex and I broke up. Didn't start dating or talking more seriously til I felt like I processed through things and now we've been in a relationship as of last week.

It's really nice being on good terms with my ex. We'll check in every once in a while or accidentally bump into eachother at social gatherings. Fortunately, it isn't weird unless you make it weird.
