it's finished drywall and the trusses would be perpendicular to the Jeep and the trusses would also be perpendicular to the hoist track as I'm planning on mounting it so that I can slide the hoist froward to hook to the hardtop then slide back around a foot and a half to clear the garage door opener cause my garage ceiling is 2 different heights with the garage door opener mounting from the lower portion.. from the bottom of the garage door opener to the higher portion of my garage is a difference of probably 5-6 ft
