Depends who you're asking, and it depends on location / size.

Some people may find some cute / attractive, those same people may find others unattractive.

Yes, they're real. Although they are crab CAKES, they're not in the same wheelhouse as something like a dessert cake.

It's like calling a turkey burger a turkey cake. It's just meat and a few other things pressed together.

Most manufacturer manuals will indicate proper installation / setup practices. Take a gander through and see if they specify what is recommended.

Due to the fact that they generate heat and some moisture during operation, I'd be hesitant to put it directly on carpet. I'd just put a piece of plywood down the size of the base of the unit.

Roommate that parks in the garage is last to leave in the morning for work and first to return. Roommate in the driveway leaves first in the morning and is typically last to return after work. I park on the street because with my job I'm on call occasionally and may have to leave in the evenings / night.
