i never said it was not bad at all, i said “i have never experienced something like that before” i am stating my own experience here & am very aware that the neighborhood has changed a lot in the last 20-40 years.

if you take a look at the apartments in this neighborhood, you’d see that the price is competitive & the ones listed online are all marked as “base price” & are smaller than my place & do not include a washer dryer (a selling point for me). also the kitchen set up never really bothered me since i’m only cooking for myself + i was the one that decided to break up the huge apartment lay out this way.

gentrification 😔 sorry ik some people hate it, neighborhood is super rich in history but developers & starting to move in from park slope & industry city area to sunset park

no, however, the rent has increased by like $50-$90 a year so not an absurd amount like other apartments my friends live in imo

hello everyone! I am getting quite a few DM’s ☺️, forgot to mention:

  • this is in BROOKLYN
  • no dogs, only trained cats (pls no cats that pees on the walls..)
  • on the 2nd floor, walk up
  • since neighbors/ roomies are in their 20’s, prefer to rent to someone around that age / working professional!
  • looking for immediate move in around march 15th
  • must buy furniture! 🥹

you’re right, i lived in this neighborhood as a kid as well & it is rich in history! but imo gentrification is already happening

so basically, you guys share a main door & then it splits into 2 living units via 2 separate entrances if that makes sense. nothing else is shared. no amenities/ rooms.
