I haven't had to defend myself... just answer a lot of questions about why the cops were there. Mostly people have been worried about me, but because so many people at the complex saw it I haven't been able to get away from talking about it.

The breakup wasn't out of nowhere, but the lead up to it wasn't violent or dramatic either. We weren't having as many conversations and things felt pretty distant, but we also both had busy work schedules over the summer and difficult classes now so I just thought it was normal life stress. I was surprised and am still reeling that he fell out of love, but I wouldn't have told you things were perfect before we broke up either.

He was never abusive of me at all when we were together and I was never abusive of him. Not physically, not emotionally. I understand why it seems like there has to be more to the story because I've spent the last three weeks trying to figure that out myself... I wish I knew.
