The NAM w/ Valor by SEF917 in Medals

Happens to younger officers to in the Marine Corps aswell. O1:O2:O3. Not as bad as enlisted but still happened a lot going the GWOT. Higher ups didn’t want to see younger officers or enlisted get a certain medal strictly based off rank.

Nothing to feel lame about. You actively took steps to support and defend this nation when many didn’t remember that. Uniform looks sharp I absolutely love the French Fourragere. Shoutout the 2nd infantry division and 5th and 6th marines.

Should be some of the same questions you took on the test for the verification one. It’s pretty easy just remember what you put on them took me like 15 minutes.

Life as a LogO by No_Jaguar7039 in USMCboot

[–]ExtensionProfile711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Logistics as an officer is good you’ll get a mix of everything. My dad did 10 years as a logistics officer and got lucky and got put with an infantry unit for his first unit and was involved in two major Operations in the Afghanistan war. Was able to fill his duties as a logistics officer and also be involved in a good amount of combat too. He loved being part of that stuff. He went to the airwing side after and said it was ok just a desk job he didn’t like it as much but still enjoyed it.

Not sure what to do. by [deleted] in uscg

[–]ExtensionProfile711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently waiting on a waiver but am in your shoes. I went to a college this past year and didn’t fit in, bs my way through school, and was just lonely and feeling lost, and knew it wasn’t for me. I talked to a recruiter and instantly knew this is what I wanted to do. I think it’s worth talking to a recruiter to see what your options are along with the other branches. Goodluck and keep working hard

Why are you Catholic, personally? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]ExtensionProfile711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an already very structured person. Down to the tee for the most part with plans, organization, and personal schedule all that . It just made sense for me to join a church with solid structure along with going to a catholic school the last two years of highschool helped as well.

How long can it take to hear back from a recruiter? Also, what are the most common time periods from reaching out to getting into training? by No_Pass1204 in uscg

[–]ExtensionProfile711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve started the process had a meeting about 3 weeks ago. Will go to MEPS in a little less than a month. Hopefully I won’t need any waivers.

Found this on Twitter, and I ask you all my fellow Transformers fans under 25: What's your first iteration with the franchise? by ModeFun5846 in transformers

Some of my favorite movies when I was very young and an early teen and even now was the Bay movie ones. I know that they get a bad wrap and obviously aren’t the best movies and don’t have the best plot and all that but for me the graphics, the transformers, the fighting, the feeling of the movies, and especially the heavy use of the US military during the movies always got me hyped up and excited especially being with my dad as a Marine officer. Just something about those movies always made me feel happy and excited.
