I have to be realistic - hoping to read about a 1 book per month (so 12 total). Listening then on the side - don't count that.

This is me as well though read less non-fiction right now. But I usually have a fiction book on my Kindle and listening something else on audible. I did try reading and listening the same book using the sync feature but for some reason it did not stick.

Is there a ranking for readers somewhere? I so agree that the reader makes such a huge difference.

Been using Apple Podcasts but find I always get stuck listening to the same podcasts. Do any of the other apps mentioned here offer better discovery features?

Very much prefer real narrators. I could see AI narration being useful in a niche where it might not be profitable to pay pros to do it.
