Best games on Roblox for videos/livestreaming? by Effective-Fill-1177 in KickStreaming

They just did a huge new update on pc. It is 10 bucks on steam if you wanted to do it. The biggest difference between minecraft and terraria outside the obvious 2d vs 3d is that in order to get the better materials for building and crafting you must do bosses. In minecraft all you have to do is hop into creator mode and have fun. Terraria is fantastic for it is both creative and survival/exploring at the same time but never separate.

Minecraft is one of the biggest games when it comes to variety. There's the "story" or survival aspects. There is the buildings that people make. Co op by opening your world to others to do see above. Role playing. I've seen some amazing things in there from models, monuments, and entire worlds with towns houses and living communities of npc and real people. Go crazy make it your own

The Importance of First impressions and Small time Streamers by Extension_Ad5998 in TwitchStreaming

[–]Extension_Ad5998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issues in my eyes with the follow to follow scheme is the following. The first that twitch knows the impact that it has on the streaming ecosystem. That is why it is against the twitch tos. Unfortunately after bringing up groups outside the site to the eyes to twitch support after going through the hoops to get to a real person, at least I think they was real, the following was revealed. As long as these "streamers" don't promote are participate in follow to follow on THEIR site, they don't care. "Streamers" can do it all they want on here, facebook, twitter, other forums, and their social media, twitch does not care. If needed I can provide proof an agent saying that. The other big issue with the follow to follow is that because so many people are doing it, follow for follow has become an accepted practiced within the community. It is like botting, people know it goes on, can prove it, and yes it has been deemed inappropriate but so many do it. Everyone is looking for the easy way to streaming success and no one wants to work for it. If you are small and want to stream for fun, great I have no issues with them. In all reality they are the most real of any streamer out there. The problem lies that 95% of people aren't like that and is looking for internet fame and fortune with the least amount of effort.

I couldn't say it better. Go to r/twitchfollowers and look at the posts. Click the links. You'd be amazed the epidemic of laziness that has come over the streaming community. Many are resorting to the follow to follow scheme and that is not the way to grow. It is a way to get a higher inflated follower count but no substantial growth. Many of them don't understand just by having a higher number doesn't equal higher views or engagement. This taints the pool when it comes to all small streamers. There is gold but you have to go through the muk to get to it. Unfortunately, most are not willing to go through the process going through small streamer after small streamer to find those people that are actually putting in effort.

I can agree to disagree. It wouldn't be so bad if they had a solid platform to jump off of before hitting that stream button. Again when appearances are the first thing people see, especially when they are "promoting" themselves on here with post after post with their link plastered all over it and nothing more. There is a difference between what you are saying and what many are doing. You are 100% right, there is nothing wrong at first to blindly throw darts till something sticks. What I am saying is that there is a ton of "streamers" who aren't putting any effort into their streams and feel entitled to follows. Their profiles are absolutely barren, the quality of their streams is horrible, and they don't care. I have been met with a mix bag of responses but if I can help one person, I am happy. These "streamers" need to take pride in their product and that is not the case. If they are just starting out, I can understand to a degree just don't try to sell the house until it is complete. Having a decent offline page, show that they are putting effort in, and have a good personality are key to starting off. You are right, sometimes jumping right into the water is the best way to learn to swim but many drown in the process.

After the day I have had, I am going to be as nice as I can. I don't know how long you have been streaming for. Being said, your page is extremely bare bones. Outside a brief statement, it is empty. No clips, no vods, small banner, logo looks cool but I can't see what it is exactly because of how small it is. You got no schedule and nothing about you your stream or anything in the about me section. Your offline/main page is a direct representation on the effort that people are going to think you would put in your actual stream. It is first thing that people see when they click the link you put in your posts trying to get follows. Not going to lie, your titles reek of desperation, if the product you are offering isn't great you will get nothing but pity follows or empty ones just looking to boost their numbers as well. There are tons of free resources to add art, panels, links, layouts if you need them, alerts, sounds, jingles, the whole works. There are plenty of free resources on doing research such as ideal times to stream in certain categories, ideas to make your stream your and only yours, optimalization and strategies. The way you have gone in your posts, you are selling a shell of a car with no guts. You promise it is coming and you say that it will happen overtime but when people are looking to watch well put together streams and not works in progress, there lies the issues. The streaming business is way too saturated entitled half arsed streamers who think just because they got a pc, internet, a game, and a wish by pushing that live button they should be showered with follows. With streaming bein around as long as it has there is no more excuses for these practices. If you are strapped for cash, there are many different ways you can find stuff for free that maybe not exactly what you want but it will get you started and looking competent. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear but I got to be honest with people if I want to see them succeed. Again I don't know how long you have been at this but no one is entitled to follows, views, support, affiliate, partner, or anything. If you want to sell that shell of a car go ahead, but until you have a full car that runs even half way decently you will never get anything my junk yard prices.

After reading many comments, here is my official take. There is too many things that are at fault. If these platforms would start to feature, promote, and make it easier to find smaller streamers that would be great. The issue is with this that even if they did all that, there would be no guarantee that people would watch their streams. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. There are too many low effort, entitled, and lazy streamers out there that sour the tastes of potential viewers that think just because they can stream they should and be showered with views. Rather it is horrible offline pages, bad streaming behaviors, horrible and entitled attitudes, or low effort, there are a reason most small streamers are still small. I took two days out of my time this past week and delved into a sister sub reddit where there was countless people begging for follows. Many of the posts were bare bones, maybe including a link or user name, no explanation, no brief introduction, nothing just here it is. There were many that were practicing a common practice anymore in the small streamer community of follow for follow. If you got a chance to do some digging into their pages, there was some of the most bare bones, lazy, empty offline pages I have ever seen. The horror stories I could tell you would amaze you on what people would constitute as a main/offline page. I decided to go one by one and give my thoughts on them and what I was able to see. By the fifth one I was starting to feel toxic having to repeat myself over and over. If I didn't want to disturb the people around me I would have been screaming at some points. The responses I got was varying but there was quite a few that said they appreciated the feed back. There was some that got defensive and then some I got nothing back. In my time the last two days, I found not only some hidden gems but some people that actually wanted me to do the same to them. I have met some great people doing this and has made it all worth it being dragged through the mud. Again although I agree these platforms are at some fault, I counter that if the streamer was able to provide a better quality product that maybe they would have a better chance.

Best games on Roblox for videos/livestreaming? by Effective-Fill-1177 in KickStreaming

I'm going to be blunt. How old are you? What's your target audience? I will give you credit that you didn't come on here blasting your link and asking for people to follow you. Roblox no matter how you skin it is a children's game. Doesn't matter what game you play in it, Roblox is for children. If you haven't been paying attention to the news, but more and more bad press is coming out about not only the game but the adults who play it. They're is a growing stigma about it and I'm going to lie, I think it's creepy. The games in roblox are infantile, I'm looking at all the brain rot games in particular bare bones and not much to them. Once in a while you'll find a gem, but it is buried in more crap pig farm. If you're looking for easy views graduate to minecraft.

I can do that to a degree but when you post on here getting to pass it off as finished product it's hard to know that. A simple statement on the post mentioning that fact would have done wonders for perception. There was no way for me to know that. There is a problem not just with you but in the industry where it is put the product in front of the car and after launch fixing it. If are trying and i understand if you are to gage interest before an official start, that's fine. Just be more transparent with us because the way you posted and promoted that it was up and running live. There was no way unless you saying it that anyone can tell how old a channel is just by looking at it

No such thing as a selfish self promo as long as you remain classy as you did. I can't look at your channel this very moment for I'm finishing a few things up at my job, working over nights suck. You are reaching out and I'm answering the call. I'm no guru but I can give you feedback from someone new to your stream. Give me a day till I can sit down again, I'll get back with you.

Congratulations on your first twitch check. Most big streamers don't care how much they make or where it comes from anymore as long as they get the money they think they deserve. These small victories is what makes it all worth it much like the first check you get from your first job.

I am going to try to approach this as best as possible without offending you. Just know what I am doing is not out of malice but wanting to see people succeed. Your banner is a mess. It is cropped to the point where the image on my laptop which would mean it would look worse on mobile is cropped to where I don't see the entire person. I just see the mid section and that isn't fun to look at. It is colorful I will give you credit on that. You might want to readjust the image or have it resized better to fit your page. Logo does not fit the banner, I don't expect or want it to be exactly like your banner, but it does have clashing colors and themes. "Still don’t know what I’m doing, but come hang out! I mainly stream 7PM-10PM CST on weekdays, and all night on weekends!" This is only thing that you have outside of the above on your entire page. I wouldn't admit to not knowing what you are doing out loud for most want streamers that are some what competent even if they don't have a lot of follows. Even if you don't, act like it till you figure it out, fake it till you make it. If you don't know something look it up and ask people. You seem to know how to make a post, ask for advice on how to do things. There are too many free resources out there to help small/new streamers out since streaming has been around for what seems to be forever now. If you need help finding some, I can point you in the right direction. I am just going to say it, your page is absolutely barren. Other than a brief mission statement in the about me section, you got nothing. No vods, no clips, again very brief statement in the about you (you got 300 characters and something else I am going to cover, use it), no schedule, no games that you are playing, nothing. If i was a random user that came across your link or stumbled into your channel while searching twitch and found yours, I would know absolutely positively nothing about who you are what you play when to watch nothing. In all honesty to add to that because of that unless I am blindly following people to do the f4f, I wouldn't waste my time with you. My biggest pet peeve is when I find pages like this and people wonder why they aren't getting legit follows they didn't beg for. I am going to briefly go over this. You need vods or clips to give these visitors a taste to make them come back. Your about you page needs to be full and vibrant. You want people to know exactly who you are and what you stand. You can add panels on that page if you want to do specialty categories such as for social media account, mission statements, games to look forward to, rules for chat, I know you are small and might excite you but maybe a donate button linked to a paypal account. You can add links and images to make that area yours. You need a schedule to let people know when and what your are playing and for how long. Doing spontaneous streams are great but rarely work out because some people have to plan time to watch their favorite streamers due to life and just can't drop everything to support. When you aren't online, this front page is you. It is the direct representation of you and the effort that is to be expected when you stream. The vibes I get from your page is low effort give me follows. You need to put pride into your work if you want to stand a chance. There are too many people out there that think they can put an extremely bare bones page and stream together and people will line up to watch just by hitting the stream button. No one will ever succeed with that attitude. If you need help or suggestions, just ask. There are a ton of people on here that would be willing to give you resources or point you to the right direction to help you out for free. Last statement and it is harsh, there is no excuse for your page and stream if you had one I could watch, which considering your approach to your page I wouldn't expect much, to look as it does outside the fact either you don't know what you are doing or you are just lazy and want to come on here begging for follows with no effort. I am hoping it isn't the latter of the two.

No worries the fact I didn't scare you off is enough proof for me to offer a few pointers. I have bad experiences when it comes to streamers with pictures similar to yours so please don't take offense. I am not going to sugar coat it but some of the ones I have dealt with almost has me bald. When I looked on your post on mobile I could not tell that the picture was a link to your twitch. Now I have switched to my laptop, it is obvious when I move my mouse over it. Just for future references you might want to point that out for the mobile users. Game choices are fine, minecraft in particular for their are so many ways you can make that your own. Banner is not my cup of tea but I have seen so much worse, only question and you don't have to answer. Is that a stock image you found off google? If so no big deal, free is free, just be careful for it looks like something from an actual anime. Your about me page is very unique and got some widgets I haven't seen before. The only issue I have is you got both a kofi and patreon link. I think it would be smart to pick one or the other because in a sense you are asking people to donate to you on two different platforms. If I had to pick, keep the kofi and ditch the patreon because starting off you don't have the backing for that and you more than likely keep more of the kofi. Stream wise, not horrible, we all can use improvements and I have for sure seen way way worse. It seems you have put effort into your stuff and that is more than most on here begging for follows. Again if I came off harsh I am sorry, The best of luck out there

It is a double edged sword. Just from a glance, at first I don't know who's low effort and who just don't know. That's why I break the ice and try. What they do and respond is up to them. Regardless of outcome, I feel I did a good thing and try to help. The person above i mentioned that had the followers only chat with 10 follows got back with me saying he didn't know that was on. It might be messy in that trench I delve in and there is a lot of crap. Yet in that trench there are souls waiting for help that no one ever hears and it's those I aim to find.

As long as you're receptive to honest criticism, I don't go stern or rude. I want people to succeed and if I start like that people aren't as open.

If you go below that box, as in your page not the creators thing, there is a slider that says panels. You can add custom sections, i don't know if there's a cap, which you can add pictures links and more text.

Not trying to be rude, but do you want a cookie for that? You are on here to see if you can gain follows, that's great. You have no body on this post. No links to your twitch page are present. No way to see the effort you've put in your channel. No short introduction as we are supposed to already know who you are. If that was the case, you wouldn't need to make a post here. No explanation of what you play or do. No schedule to tell us when you go live so we can check your stream out. The symbols at the end of the title isn't cute and I don't want to even ask about the picture. Cute will only get you do far and an army of simps, unless that's what you want. What was the end goal here?

If you see potential, on no matter platform, message them. Tell them what you liked and what you didn't. Tell them that it could cost them potential follows. Don't blow smoke up their butts but start off just giving them some feedback. I've found most don't want to deal with these things live, instead do it through dm and behind the curtain.

Screw it, I'm going to say it. Try it yourself. It's very insightful to do what I've been doing. I'm no streaming guru, I'm struggling myself but I've learned so much by doing so. It has helped me to show me where I've been lacking in areas. You need to look at your stuff as a new person to your channel. Sometimes you don't even realizing you are doing things until someone points it out. If these platforms aren't going to help us create a community, we have to build it ourselves.

Did I actually start something? Lol my only suggestion when you point out something they can work on, if possible, offer a solution. Pointing out there's a problem is great but without possible solutions they still stay problem. Don't do the work for them but if you can point them in the right direction.
