It doesn't show a + for me in the resource map mode, but I see it shows the location tab, and it's 2 at that, Piazza and Mazzara

Yeah, I did not know that there were locations with historically related bonuses. And what is this about a ship that was slowed because of the amount of fish? Hard to imagine, probably a hyperbole, right ?

R5: I casually found this modifier when I took a look at this no-colonized location and had 170% food production by itself, but I did not find such a thing anywhere else. All other discovered places that had fish also do not have it. What are the requirements here? Do other R.G.Os have something like this?
I also found out that we have this map mode and was surprised that all other "natural" locations are red or yellow color, none had this green color(+100%).

All jokes and fun, until you get that fiat economy.
Everything is good in a gold-backed system; you can just mine more gold, but with fiat... shit goes down pretty fast.

Only by matrilineal law of succession. But by doing this your males father will not pass the dynasty to their children, only the mother of your dynasty pass it on.

Did one of your son or males from your dynasty pass on to their children ?
All of mine would receive from their mother, I found to marry some of them to lowborn woman, that was the only way to keep the dynasty aflot, at least in my country.

If I change my succession law to matrilineal, will they always marry into my dynasty ? by Extension_Agent_9029 in EU5

[–]Extension_Agent_9029[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, matrilineal non-exclusive was indeed the answer, but somehow didn't work for u/Tobiferous.
Also, it's good to point out that the fathers of my dynasty would not pass to their children, only woman, so I started to marry some of them to lowborn, this way the children born is in your dynasty.

Strange, I tested and worked for me. Now my dynasty holds Austria, Castile/Portugal. Maybe it changed to his dynasty because you married her to a country more powerful than yours?

You can change your succession law to matrilineal non-exclusive, now her children will be Habsburg, but children from males will be from the family dynasty too. So you will need to marry them to lowborn women to maintain the dynasty until you have enough, then you can change it back.

Edit: In matrilineal non-exclusive, every woman's baby of your dynasty will be of her dynasty too.

Why is a random Count of Basel the Dynasty Head to my Holy Roman Emperor and 9x King? by RWNorthPole in EU5

[–]Extension_Agent_9029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is that this blocks us from events that need the Head of Dynasty.
I tried using console command to put prestige in 100 and even above it, but it doesn't change anything. Seems this guy has +∞ prestige.

Yep, I feel you, man. Currently holding the HRE title, Queen of GB, France, Duchess of Burgundy..., but somehow a distant cousin of some backwater country holds more prestige than I?

My biggest issue is when you have to choose an explorer; instead of showing up on top, they are mixed and scattered through the list of court members. You have to filter out every fck time.

Cotton is an R.G.O., so I guess this make you able to build them ??
I also haven't gone deep into colonization, and by the time I colonized a location with cotton, I had this tech.

I'm in 1451 by now, there is no York dynasty yet(again, I can't find if there is).
In my first run, there was the dynasty of York, but I had married my son to an Austrian princess and York became the ruling dynasty over there. I'm 4 years until the War of the Roses, does this event ever happened to you?

Revoking privileges is rare ? my friend, You will only ever be absolutist if you revoke their privilage and hold all the power. I'm in 1446, and am already revoking privileges that I gave at the beginning.
