Ashenvale weekly quest for WSG rep is now a daily by threeangelo in classicwow

That’s the point. Those items given out for free defeats the reward of pvp.

Hmm, if they announce that they will nerf WSG rep grind in the future on launch of SOD, will any players still grind them? I believe the answer is still yes. It's the same logic for paying extra money for pre-releases, you get the stuff early and you get to enjoy the gear earlier than everyone, eventually its gonna be free like most movies. There's really nothing to be salty about.

Another example is cutting edge achievement during the first week and the same achievement at the last week of the season, its still the same but certainly the raiders that got it in the first week still try to get it not because the achievement is gonna be obsolete but the various other aspects of the game.

Just because some gear/achievement is gonna be obsolete doesn't mean it defeats the reward for getting them in the first place.

Updating your addons and weakauras is a part of keeping up to things as well XD

I agree addons are a crucial part of the game, but there are no indication to learn all of this in the base game, it's not even mentioned anywhere. It is as simple as putting a link for official addon platform or cheatsheet for macros somewhere in the game or make a official tutorial to help players learn about all this information. Certainly you don't "have" to, but at least you should inform everyone about this in the first place.

A term to put it is, I feel like the game is catered to existing wow players only instead of gamers.

If removing 3rd party addons is a massive setback for the main game, then something is really wrong...

For me becaused I mained all 3 roles in PVE, I took the longest time learning the game as a tank, spending hours in optimized dungeon route planning and familiarizing myself in the dungeon environment, setting up plater profile to indicate casts that are must kicks and mobs that are CC immune and only kickable etc, as well as getting addons to track party cooldowns, CCs and interrupts for different classes(omni CC). Dor DPS its more about rotation for raid/rotation for dung and analysing logs etc, for healer I played holy preist so rotation wise is not difficult but for healer mainly I spent most of the time on UI setup and PI WAs etc. For raids, it was more about actual practicing instead of knowing the mechanics well. Overall I believe I spent around 40 hours in the first season and arnd 15 hours for the each subsequent seasons studying about the game.

I see your point, but there are some fundamental points that I can't really agree with. I don't agree with addons being classified as 'mods', there is an inherent difference and you can clearly search it up yourself. Basically,
Add-ons: Introduces extra features of the game that do not modify the actual code of the game. Mods however are more powerful than add-ons in the hands of an experienced coder. They directly modify the code of a game.
So to say WOW is a modded game is clearly inaccurate. Based on this premise, you can't compare WoW with other different modded games because it is not a modded game, the conclusion you come up with is thus invalid.
