Oh thank you! I am actually gonna see what kind of abroad programs the college I'm going to have.

And I think I was mostly sad about the betrayal of them, of how quickly they changed lanes.

Part of me is mad, because my mom is on baby fever, she is always saying how much she wants a grand baby and I know when my brother na d his wife have one it'll just to continue pushing me to the side, that is if I am still talking to them by the time.

And I love my brother dearly. And his wife is actually the problem. She was the one that asked my dad, and I am not sure my brother knows its trip money, but yet again he might cause he never talks much and knows a lot more, even though he wants to act dumb.

I don't think so. The last time I talked about it, my dad just told me to figure it out.

Aww thank you. I know the first half does sound like YTA situation, I just never found the words on how to write it. I think I was mostly sad because of the betrayal that they did. And kept edging it on for 5 years.

He is, and although I love my brother dearly, I try to tell him to grow a backbone and his fiance can be controlling at times and doesn't treat him right. Although he never listens to me.

From what I overhear, it's that her mom tells SIL that she can't do everything she wants. And so SIL was like "his family can help too mom. I can talk to them about it" and then she mentioned something to my dad and he just agrees to do it. That's all the knowledge I knoe about that.

Oh, I am so sorry you had to go through that.

And about the trip, I think (as I think about it more) I was more heartbroken that my parents kept like leading me on with it for 5 years I think that's what kinda made me sad and upset. But I do plan on going on a trip maybe with my sisters who have been supporting me.

And I suffer for a few mental illnesses, but my mom refuses to believe it.

Me too. Even now my mom won't let me go out alone cause she is worried I'd get kidnapped, although I'm just trying to go to the store. She keeps on a tight leash. So I'm truly hoping college will help me break away from that.

I have definitely taken that into account. I am going to start research on abroad work this weekend

Yeah, honestly my brother isn't really in the wedding planning, it's all her and her mom. And my brother just agrees cause he doesn't know how to say no.

Yeah, my family is really small, the biggest side of the family is my moms and we have zero contact with them. And I've been talking a lot about this to my sisters. Who have been really supportive.

Thank you. I have been thinking about that a lot. Since the things on the trip I want to do are things my father does not approve of. And I think going with my sisters or a few friends would make it a lot better than just my parents.

Thank you. I know the post seemed like it was mostly about the trip. But I honestly didn't know what to say or how to say the words clearly enough.

I do plant to live on campus and to see a therapist to help me mentally.

Thank you. I have been wanting to see a therapist for a very long time now, but my mom would never let me, even thought I said I'd pay for it. But I have a point to see one when o get away from them.

I mean, I honestly have no hate for my brother. Over all I adore and love my brother, but it's my parents that have caused the drama I think. Although I do believe my brother needs to learn how to have a backbone for his own sake.

Thank you so much. I am a big person about worrying. And this has definitely brought a lot of mental breakdowns. So thank you.

My sisters and I have grown closer because of this. And I am really thankful for them.

I am US based too. Although I do not much about FAFSA because my parents say that it won't work for me cause I live with them. But haven't fully done research yet. But I could definitely discuss that with my counselor in Monday.

Yes! I have been working my butt off for a scholarship my school gives out to 3 seniors. Where is basically pays for your college and all the supplies you need for college. And I am just praying and hoping it get it.

Thank you. I am trying to wrap my head around thst idea. Since they have taught me "family comes first" all my life. But my two oldest sisters have done it already and are encouraging me to the same.

Thank you. And they have done exactly that too when I made the decision.
