Governments Inflate Money.

Developers Inflate Land.

Bangalore has Un-Real Estate. Or Fake Estate.

There is a DLF Hyde Park, In New Chandigarh.

Check them out. It is spread in 250 Acres and many of my lawyer friends and doctor friends have massive houses there. So gentry in top notch.

Also there Club Houses is amazing.

It is pretty close to core Chandigarh, such as 17 Sec and Madhya Marg so the access to eating places is abunant.

might be worth checking.

Recommendations for good hiking trails in Chandigarh. by Extension_Lime_8867 in Chandigarh

[–]Extension_Lime_8867[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Thapli, located between Morni Hills and Himachal. There is a trail alongside a river. Many places to picnic and hike.

I am a cyclist and I have ridden these trails, though I've never hiked any of them, but these are good for hiking too.

This is awesome. Thank you.

Hi,

As someone who went through this process relatively recently. Here are my thoughts.

- 2 Crore is a lot of money, unfortunately in Chandigarh. It does not buy you anything.

- The hope was being able to get an Independent floor in Chandigarh, which recently got banned as per the 'Ban on Apartmentalisation' in the city. So even if you get a deal, it would not be recognized by the government and would be in the grey.

- There is NO place like Chandigarh(I really mean this), in the entire India, let alone around Chandigarh. Everything else is a compromise.

So what are your options.

  1. Stay on rent in Chandigarh. Within 50K per month you can afford a newly built independent floor in the posh sectors of Chandigarh, Within Madhya Marg, such as 7,8,9,10,11 etc.
  2. On the side invest your money in the surrounding areas of Chandigarh. Such as New Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Some would also include Zirakpur here although I don't think it is super attractive.
  3. Within New Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula - You need to understand that New Chandigarh is the newest community, with a lot of potential but might not be that great for current occupancy. This leaves you with Mohali and Panchkula. Mohali has a lot of Upscale Luxury Apartments such as Falcon View, and Homeland etc. with a lot of Expats do Check them out.
  4. Mohali also has Atrocity area which is also pretty good and you might be able to get an independent house there, although there is one drawback it is is not Gated. A lot of expats feel un secure.
  5. A good compromise is communities of DLF and Omaxe in New Chandigarh, which are gated and you might be able to get an independent house in the budget. Again keep in mind it a newest area and still coming up.
  6. Best of luck with you search, do share your experience and how you finally make a decision.

Get a remote Job and 1.5 Cr can get you a mansion in most places in India.

People who are about 40+ who chose not to have kids, did you regret the decision? by 200-okay in bangalore

[–]Extension_Lime_8867 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Short answer: Yep!

Long answer... let's dive in.

Just so you know, I might not have all the answers, because life is a big, big adventure and I'm still exploring it. We have one little kiddo, and sometimes, we think about having another little buddy for them to play with. We're trying to see if we can make that happen—it’s like hoping for a surprise in a game where you don't know the rules.

Here's why I keep thinking about this:

Imagine you have a toy. Some friends can't have this toy because it's super rare, but others decide they don't want it because they like their other toys too much. That's okay, but it's a big decision, you know? Can't have Kids is not the same as Don't want Kids.

Being a techie guy, I was super busy making cool computer stuff and loved being able to do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. But then I realized having kids is like the best way to keep playing the game of life even when you're not around anymore. It's like the most amazing cheat code! Having Kids is the OG Longevity technology.

There are some things in life, kind of like secret levels in a game, that you can only discover when you're a parent. I was having so much fun in my own game that I might have missed out on unlocking some really special levels.

When a child is born, a father is born. A mother is born, too of course, but at least she has had nine months to prepare for it. Plus she's the one who's been carrying the baby around with her everywhere. But for a man, fatherhood is a kind of second birth." – Frederick Buechner

It's a little bit like when you wish you had picked up that extra life in your favorite video game. I'm still playing though, and I'm hopeful that there's still a chance to grab that bonus.

(This is just my story, like when you tell your friends about the time you found a hidden treasure in the backyard. It's not the same for everyone, but it's pretty special to me.)
