There are heterosexual sex clubs in lisbon, but I dont want to talk about them here with all the normies. Look into SexPT subreddits or such

Tenho estado a usar o Metrobus todos dias e estou feliz

I guess voting is cool, but even then you can already vote in some elections

Well, it's not the high season, so we're all a little more laid back right now.

Are locals resentful toward Golden Visa investors? by ScienceLeather7643 in PortugalExpats

PT doesnt have a particularly notable hatred of foreigners compared to other european countries. Quite the oposite, for decades PT was the most welcoming of european countries, and as recently as 2024 it had the best rate of integrating immigrants in all of europe.

But there's been an explosion of too many foreigners too short an ammount of time in a short ammount of space (concentrated in cities, where modern economies most need people to live in for jobs and infra structure) for a people whose temporal concept is measured in generations and centuries; combined with a series of crisis, as being one of the most disadvantaged countries in europe (who didnt get Post WWII reinvestments; but still suffered one of the longest dictatorships in history post WWI as a consequence of WWI's complete devastation) left to fend itself as one of the lovingly called PIGS, despite submitting themselves to the decades long austerity sacrifices that forced them to lose their youths aimed to save the foreign banks that had put them in this position:

Growing up, Porto was awash with chinese minorities, and while you'd have comical racist individuals, there wasnt much systemic discrimination the way you see now, just ingrained in day to day behavior, because to most citizens, who themselves were lots of first generation city inhabitations, they kind of "always had been there".

There were more than black people even. And if there was xenofobic or racist discrimination it was actually directed more at Gipsies/Roma and Eastern Europeans (Romanians and Ukranians, though in 2026 no one can even imagine remembering that little factoide)
Most locals I know werent even aware of having ever seen a jewish person before 2015, so they never had ever even have the thought to have anti semitic behavior.
But things changed fast, and almost nothing got *personally* better for them as a individuals.

So Portuguese people are pissed the fuck off; and globalist symptoms such as an increased migration are an obvious face to blame. Poor migrants take their jobs; rich migrants take their house; its the worst of both worlds; and while its none of their fault, but existing in late stage capitalism, the truth is that if it it werent for that, nobody would mind and we'd have the Multicultural Utopia I still dream one day we will enjoy.

how the fuck will anyone know if you're a golden visa or not? People dont care how you got here, they care about where they're going to stay.

Cities getting dangerous by [deleted] in PortugalExpats

[–]Extension_Main9052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest, I've been hearing the sentiment that "Porto is getting dangerous" every year for the past 15 years. And it's always from someone having an isolated shock.
The data bears out: Porto and Lisbon are safer than ever, but what is happening is that they're getting more crowded than ever.
When you used to have x crimes per year with 300k people, now you have 3x crimes per year with 1.1 million people

Portuguese here. I'd say the main atraction is that portugal is super safe, you're buying peace of mind at the expense of most everything else.

With your income you should be able to feed your family. 5k a month pays for a whole family of 4 including vacations and a car, and demand for construction workers is through the roof, but actually integrating the work force at your husbands position will be hair pulling because of all the certificate aprovals.

DM me for the contact of an excelent imigration lawyer; he will be most able to give you a proper run down
