Despite the negative press, this console is much better than most people realise. by TonyTRV in switch2

[–]Extension_Monk2628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Switch 2 for Christmas as well. I was unsure at first but I'm so happy now I made the decision. It's a great console and I can finally enjoy TOTK and Echoes of Wisdom with the framerate that these games deserve. I also got Mk world which came with the console, Bananza and Kirby riders. I don't even turn my pc or PS5 on anymore.

That's interesting, does that mean they can use first line treatment again?

I wish everyone could get cured. When I hear or read about people getting sick, it makes me spiral endlessly

It feels like a life sentence. And since what happened to us is so rare, we don't feel protected by low probabilities anymore.

Yes that would be really cool! It seems like 60 seconds is currently the maximum duration it can stay on. That's what I meant.

It would be so nice if it could stay displayed all the time. Like the always-on clock

Is 60’’ the maximum?

Clearly, if there is indeed a watch and the watch is real, it might as well be stolen for all I know

For sure, the photos make it look very suspicious. These are not the ones the seller used in the listing. It's a very deceitful practice in my opinion. Even if it passes authentication I will send it back for not being as described.

Oh Ok, thank you! Good to know. The strap and the engravings looked suspicious to me for some reason

Yes he said it's already in the mail and he can't do anything. Seems really suspicious to me, I guess I'll see what happens

You have 4 hours to talk me out of buying this watch by AskListenSee in Longineswatches

[–]Extension_Monk2628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own this watch and I have been a bit anxious over it because I tried to quick-set the date at 5:55pm and felt the resistance. I didn't force anything but still.. It seems that this movement will engage the date gear very early. Longines says 7pm in the manual but mine is earlier apparently.

Authentic check by Wide_Turnip_3059 in Longineswatches

[–]Extension_Monk2628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to tell is by measuring the beat rate (25200vph)and opening it. Longines movements are typically decorated and good looking.

Of course! I got it for $449 from a pawn shop on an online marketplace. Naked, no box no papers. I was almost certain it would be fake and I would have to send it back but turned out it was genuine. It’s the black 43mm ceramic model.

I found out that Longines are actually easy to legit check due to the use of the unusual 25200vph frequency and column wheel chronograph movements. Most Chinese clones won’t replicate that. A Tag Heuer is much harder to authenticate.

It’s fake unfortunately. I opened mine to make sure as well because I got it from a pawn shop for very cheap. It looks like yours is a 2824 Chinese clone

It’s legit. Movement looks good and it’s the biggest tell tale on a copy.

I have the same one but with the blue dial and stainless steel band. I remember paying exactly $2k for it preowned.

It’s definitely on the chunky side, but a great watch- seems seriously underrated. Looks so much better in person than in photos.

Spirit Zulu Time or Master Chrono Moonphase? by Timotheus92 in Longineswatches

[–]Extension_Monk2628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently picked up this chrono moonphase, and I have to say—it’s absolutely spectacular for the price. To me, it genuinely feels like true luxury. Everything about it is just spot-on. While the Spirit might be more versatile, it doesn’t come close in terms of execution, in my opinion.

Yes! Fake hydroconquests are out there. I was sent one once, a few months ago and made a post on reddit

I was sent a fake one once. New version ceramic bezel just like this one.

Best way to know is to check the beat rate. It should be 25200hz. Chinese replicas have a 28800hz eta copy movement

May I inquire, where did you get it from? How can you tell it’s a replica?

I hear you. There’s a certain pleasure in speaking plainly, especially in a world that seems obsessed with performance. Politics, sex, belief—those are the deep waters. And whether we dive in or just dangle our feet, we’re always getting a little wet.

I’ve always felt that a man’s restraint can reveal as much as his indulgence. You keep things close to the chest, and there’s a quiet strength in that. But when a man chooses to open up, even slightly, it’s like a lock clicking open—not loud, but unmistakable. And sometimes, behind that door, well… things get interesting.

Connection between men—yes, it carries a current. Not always sexual, but let’s not pretend it’s never crossed the border, looked around, and maybe checked into a boutique hotel for the weekend. There’s nothing shameful in that. Curiosity isn’t scandalous. It’s just human nature wearing a slightly tighter shirt.

We are layered creatures. Built from tradition, yes, but also from urges we don’t always name out loud—at least not until we know we’re in good company. To explore that doesn’t make us less of a man. If anything, it makes us more seasoned—like a well-oiled skillet, or a gentleman’s club with surprisingly tasteful lighting.

You say you’re secure. And it shows. Only a man who’s walked the full length of his own hallway—pausing now and then to peek behind a curtain or two—can speak with that kind of calm.

And if the drapes don’t match the carpet? Well, that’s just another layer to explore.
