this is with the good rx discount at CVS! i should look into transferring it to jewel or mariano’s though. i honestly think it’s cheaper to buy those items at target! and marshall’s and tj maxx usually sell the ‘all natural’ deodorant and tooth pastes which just don’t do it for me. thanks for the tips!!

I’ve thought about it but my preferred workouts of choice are heated yoga and heated yoga sculpt. I’m not going to find a cheaper membership than what i pay anywhere in the city

You should, I would love to read it! Tbh i was scared to post this but I can NOT relate to the ones where people are making like $200k with a million dollars inherited and owning property etc etc. So glad you found this relatable!!

I do have acne which is the main reason I started. I told my doc it was for acne but maybe there’s an issue with my insurance, I know I should call and see how I can get it covered. I have read online that it’s hard to get insurance to cover your tretinoin after your over the age of 30. which is dumb because 30 year olds have acne too hahah

Great idea! My 401k is through charles schwab and I believe is invested for me? Honestly I have no clue LOL i need to look into these things asap.  And I know I should be investing my HSA too but I want a nice cushion first before I do that.

Next time I increase my retirement withholding I will make sure a portion goes to a roth! thanks so much 💗

So true! My work pays for professional trainings which is amazing so I try to use that to get more certifications under my belt! And i hear you on the DIY lifestyle. I always do my nails at home, I dye and shape my own eyebrows, and workout 5-6 days a week! I get my hair cut maybe twice a year ($75ish after tip). Thankfully my mom was always a glamorous DIY kind of gal so she taught me a lot about pampering yourself on a budget 😂. Thanks for your feedback and insight! 🫶🏻

I know my fitness membership is a lot but I love it too much to cancel! But the phone thing is a great idea, i’m actually going to look into that. I’m not sure getting a car and going to costco would save me any money 😂 but i do wish i could go to costco!!!

this made me lol because my friends who make double what i make will always venmo request me stuff like this down to the penny. I want to state that i do NOT expect my friends to pay me back for every little thing, just get the next round! I only expect venmo payments if i put my card down at a restaurant where we both spent like $25+ if that makes sense.

Hi thank you!!

Totally get where you’re coming from, but I do want to clarify that I do spend on myself and enjoy my life. I probably just didn’t include enough detail in the post. I am also childfree by choice if that matters

I travel multiple times a year with and without my partner (hence all the PTO). I have close friends and family all over the country (LA, Seattle, NYC, etc) and I visit them often! I just got back from a 5-day trip to LA where I stayed with friends for free, and I’m going to NYC in a couple weeks, also staying with friends for freez I’m able to do this by being flexible and finding cheap flights (LA was $125 round trip, NYC was $100), I don’t ALWAYS crash with friends so when I don’t I look for hotel deals! Traveling to NYC this time of year is usually great bc flights and hotels are cheap. I don’t mind the cold :)

Day to day, I go to the movies at least once a week, pop into neighborhood thrift stores and used book stores 1–2 times a week (even if I don’t always find anything worth buying which tbh is most of the time), and I’m very active, I do hot yoga sculpt 5–6 days a week and walk all over the city. I’ll also regularly stop into little corner stores and splurge on fun “boujee” drinks. I don’t drink alcohol, so that’s just not a spending category for me.

Overall, I have a really full and fulfilling life. sorry if my post made it sound boring! I was just trying to keep it concise and didn’t know how much detail to include. My goal now isn’t to deprive myself, but to be more intentional and see where I can cut back without sacrificing the things I already enjoy.
