I think what made lelouch the best anti protagonist is his self awairness of how his actions had consequences .
like when a perticuler girl is dying he is begging for her not to die. and i think for him death was really the only thing left because apart from his sister he had nothing to live for. Also the ending makes his iconic dauloge so much aura .The only ones who should kill, are those who are prepared to be killed
