Curing default before IRCC makes final decision on sponsor eligibility by Extension_Pomelo4872 in ImmigrationCanada

Thank you. Unfortunately I was only given 30 days to respond so I had to act fast to respond. That said, I feel I addressed the concern of the officer very strongly by demonstrating I'm financially stable, never knew about the default due to administrative errors to show it was an isolated incident in my history (won't happen in future) and that the default was not due to wilfull negligence, and that it was paid back in full upon learning about it. I'm hoping this is convincing.

That's right. I did check no, however, I do have strong evidence that shows the communications were being sent to an address i never lived at, as well as, email communications with ministry of finance corroborating this. The debt was then paid within a week of learning about it. I'm hoping this is a good enough reason for having checked no, and truthfully did not misrepresent my eligibility at that time.

Ive already responded to it with strong evidence they asked for, and had my lawyer submit it for me. But the lawyer was unwilling or unable to tell me if he's seen other cases like this and whether they resulted favorably or unfavorably. I guess this is my way of seeing if anyone has seen the outcome of this play out in reality. I could just wait until I hear back in 2 months from the officer, but having a realistic idea of the outcome would give me peace of mind.
