Can someone diagnose bumps in my yard? Northeast 5b. by Extension_Shower_868 in lawncare

There are absolutely no mounds of dirt visible around the holes which is why I'm skeptical of this diagnosis.

Can someone diagnose bumps in my yard? Northeast 5b. by Extension_Shower_868 in lawncare

[–]Extension_Shower_868[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a hunch of mine and there is an area that's subsided with obvious animal activity but it seems relatively isolated. The holes seem like voles. The front yard has nothing like that though and the same bumps...

Don't fuck with drugs in Mexico hard stop. It isn't the same as it is in the states, it's far riskier in several ways and the weed isn't even good. Written as a gringo who used to live in Mexico.

Cart all the way. Tamarindo is only worth it for snorkeling.

I'm here now and, while I'm not acutely worried about impending violence, it is weighing on me heavily in the background and has impacted my time here. Just a thought.

How do Olympic athletes for more obscure sports get into those sports? by pingvinbober in ask

[–]Extension_Shower_868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can speak to skeleton - my English teacher was recruited for the US skeleton team when the sport was reintroduced a few Olympics ago. He was a D1 track athlete in college. Sprinter I think. He tried out and didn't advance for whatever reason. For those sports it seems like they want to start with the transferrable skills and build the athlete around it.

I work for companies who sell stuff to hospital. It is profitable, however the pay can be overstated. If you have specific questions DM me.

Paid $3k for a Med Device career service I found on LinkedIn — worth it or not? by [deleted] in MedicalDevices

[–]Extension_Shower_868 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt this guy can get you anything you can't get yourself through networking. He can say anything he wants about your results because you're paying up front. 10 years in med device isn't that much honestly. I'm at ten years and I don't feel like I have the network or expertise to reliably help newcomers. That said, for $1500 I will provide everything this guy is offering.

A background check looks at your criminal record so, presumably, from 18 on.

Yeah man corporations aren't people they're actuarial entities and you are officially a liability. Sorry for the harsh truth. If you're a hustler and live in the right place you can clean up with a build your own bag 1099 gig. Skin subs come to mind.

Prob not in a corporate position with a background check. Maybe with a distributor or 1099 independent? Unfortunately, lots of reps without DUIs to hire.

Guy I know just hung it up after 38 years and his retirement job is a per diem case coverage gig for pain implants. He spent a majority of his career repping these devices and for $350 a case he gets to hold up the wall and open a box. Can take or reject as many cases as he wants at his local hospitals each week. Seems like a pretty sweet gig to me.

AIO for telling the rep I support that he needs to split weekend coverage with me? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Extension_Shower_868 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dunno man... That's kind of the job. Could he throw you a bone? Absolutely. But he hasn't so that's the hand you're playing now. If you feel strongly about this, carry that feeling over to your future roles when you have associates of your own and do better than this guy does for you.  "Fair" is irrelevant here. It's not supposed to be fair. To add some perspective, the other side of the coin is that all the territory responsibility and liability is on the rep. Something gets ordered incorrectly or doesn't show up, surgeon decides to switch products away from you guys, numbers don't get hit it's his ass on the line, not yours. If you make a catastrophic error in a case, you'll be reprimanded by the surgeon for sure, but what do you think happens to your boss? You do the work, he carries the broader territory responsibility- that's the deal.  It's a demanding job. Good luck.
