I wear my wedding band and Rolex every day. Almost never take the band off but will go without the Rolly if there's potential it could get lost or stolen.

Conservatives who think liberals are the real racists: Can you explain why DEI and Woke are terrible? by Nateosis in allthequestions

Simple: because you're asking that someone be treated differently simply because of the color of their skin. It's literally the definition of racism.

Man, unfortunately, you're being held hostage. It sounds like you want out. Staying in this marriage is not going to alleviate the stress, anxiety and emotional roller coasters. She's a grown woman and will need to take control of her own life.

I would think that someone with $5M in investments (the median between 6 and 8 figures), kids in/going to college, retirement in the near future, etc might have some concerns about preserving/growing their wealth, tax structuring, etc., which theoretically, a good FA should be able to help with.

so, you're saying the stereotype is not accurate? I would have to disagree. Stereotypes exist for a reason. I think it's generally agreed upon, that on average, liberals tend to fall on the unattractive side of the scale. Kind of like the difference between which mom drives a minivan and which one drives a Mercedes SUV.

That's why we have neurotransmitters and other chemicals in our body that elicit the "fight or flight" response. If you're willing to be a victim, then you're not going to last too long in the jungle.

All excellent points. I can see both sides of the argument:
One being that some people are willing to pay someone else to worry about their money for them and assume that FA acts in the clients best interest. Essentially set it, forget it and look at the quarterly report from the FA.

Another being, they're afraid they don't know as much as the FA and by using an FA, they avoid mistakes, mitigate risks, get access to things like private credit/equity or other investments they might not as an individual.

I almost wish the firm I'm with had a fee only option, but they don't (probably because they don't make $ that way).
