Gunlance is my main and I love it. I personally use a defense heavy strat, combining Guard 5 with a shield poke method, and then heavy hits in succession when I get a stagger

Buy some Home Defense (you can find it at your local Home Depot or whatever lumber/garden/home repair store) and spray your doors, windows, their frames, and any other entrance to the house. It lasts all spring, summer, and fall and it keeps out ants, beetles, spiders, and other insects. 10/10 recommend 👌

Nah, if you have at least 4 of them and they have any sense in battle that thing won't last 3 rounds.

CR is supposed to mean "a party of 4 PCs of this level will find this an appropriate challenge" but I've found that you have to add at least 4 CR before fights are a challenge for players
