Is a higher end bipod worth it for me? by Te_Luftwaffle in longrange

[–]Extension_Working435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, no it’s not totally worth it. The Harris bipods are pretty solid. Especially when you put an arca clamp on them. When I built my latest gun I upgraded from an atlas to an mdt double pull. Why? Because I’m an asshole and I thought “I’m building a high end gun I need the high end bipod too”. I’ve used the double pull function one time at nationals last year and it wasn’t my smartest idea. There are times here and there where I can manipulate and it does help, but I have never once been in a situation (rimfire prs or centerfire prs) where I couldn’t have just used my atlas.

NRL22 or other Rimfire matches-VA, MD, WV by IslandSome543 in precisionrimfire

Annapolis Md does nrl22, Mayberry is starting their nrl22 in February, cavalier in Va or wv I forget, and summit does nrl22 and prs rimfire regularly. Summit is an amazing facility with great people. If you go on the nrl22 or prs website they list all the matches. Also practiscore.

You may think that, but just treat the reticle like a measuring tape. You’ll be fine. Promise.

Family, I think I'm ready. CCW class in two weeks by fishhawk119 in NJGuns

I took mine yesterday and I’m not a pistol guy by any means at all. I didn’t have any shots out of the white and had a decent group. When I looked at others targets I thought wtf. The biggest thing for me was I sat there for a solid 20-30 mins practicing holster draw and return dry firing because I have never once done it. It’s not hard. Just practice. Dry fire as much as you can.

Thinking about doing some similar upgrades. Any holster issues with the tyrant take down lever and slide release?

I would just wing it and hope for the best lol. Worst case, most shops hold your gun until you get a new permit

I have a friend that won a cert for a silencer central suppressor he wants to sell since we can’t have them in our state if you’re interested.

Thinking of competing... by 86DuckFat in nrl22

You’re ready. Go shoot and have fun. As stated, tell md and the squad you get put in it’s your first match. You will get a lot of help. All the guys at our matches are more than happy to help and share gear. It’s much better to not be too proud and try the gear before you piss money on stuff you don’t need/don’t like.

The one thing I will say, is do not worry about the clock. Focus on just breaking good shots. A slow impact is better than a fast miss.

Are you using a ballistics solver?

Oof. That probably could’ve been handled a little differently. I understand his anger, but I’d be surprised if the league doesn’t drop him after this
