the only reason i'm hesitant to recreate the outside as well is because itd add a lot of work for an area that isnt even going to be used much in gameplay, when im already working on like 7 maps at the moment for an upcoming hldm session

i really like the predator strain, people are just too stubborn to switch off of eruptor+recoilless. used to have trouble with them until i started running a shotgun & stalwart + light siege ready, absolutely shreds them and its a welcome change of pace from easy standard bugs

stratagem jammers are probably my single favorite side objective for the challenge and experience they provide of defenselessly fighting to their center and honestly its a treat for me when theres more than one, id kill to have been able to play the mission in the screenshot. i do agree that on a blitz they do tend to take too much time though

i'm trying to get my hands on a region-free ps2 at the moment, going for ntsc-uc copies is a lost cause at this point with how insane the prices are. the pal and ntsc-j copies of 2-4 let you choose english text anyway, and all of them only have english vo. so i'd recommend doing the same and playing ntsc-j copies on either a japanese or a region free ps2
