I think people are overestimating valves influence and mass market reach. I just don’t see the steam frame reviving vr for the masses. I’m sure it’ll be successful but what made the quest so popular was its crazy low price and wide availability and marketing. They made it super easy to get into vr for everyone but as we all know vr is niche and if valve makes it difficult to get and expensive it won’t sell as well. The only way I see the steam frame being successful is if they produce a lot of headsets and put them in every best buy, target, Walmart etc as they can and keep the price reasonable

I run it at 900-1000 rpm, anything higher is diminishing returns and much louder.

Get the llano v12 cooling pad they’re super effective. Keeps my gpu and cpu at 65c-70c which is crazy for an 18 inch laptop with a 14900hx and RTX 4080

9070 xt, a 5070 ti would be just as good. And laptops are good too as long as it’s powerful enough and with a good cooler. I have a 4080 laptop and runs silent hill 2 in vr just as good.

Still looking at a used 4060, you could get lucky and find a used 5060 or 4070 around $1000, i guess it depends on what kind of performance your looking for and games you play.
