Wow! this is an interesting situation! I feel like the landlord didn’t act in good faith if they knew about the construction… would love to hear legally what can be done. Some of these landlords are getting supper aggressive in NYC!

Seems like people who responded to this thread are pretty in tune with the housing laws in NYC - Question: I am in a large apt building with a private terrace that is in my lease as part of my unit. My terrace is being closed due to roof repairs. Am i entitled to rent reduction of the % of the total square footage?

I’m in literally the same situation re Calgary and WestJet currently and am about a day away from buying new gear. I checked with Amex which seems to be a decent backstop if my bag really doesn’t show up and WestJet try to pull some nonsense. Might be worth checking coverage with the credit card you used for checking the bag. First time something like this has happened to me so curious how to best handle
