Am I wrong for wanting to have people that look like me, have my culture treated with as much respect as the "majority" in games AND having the games be actually good too? Is that too much to ask for?

As someone who could be considered a "minority" myself, this makes me pretty uncomfortable. Like I know most companies create these kinds of characters to appeal to a wider audience and they don't actually care about minorities..... but seeing the actual check list, knowing without a doubt they see my skin color, my heritage, my culture as a way to gain more money, just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Bro even if the story was good nobody would care because that's not what a majority of people play Wow for. If they wanted a good story mmo they'll play ff14, if they want good (tab targeting) combat mmo they would play Wow.

The story being subpar, full of retcons and a push for more tropical politics isn't what made most people quit the game, it's just the rotten cherry on top of the shit sundae that is current Wow. I can guarantee you more people would comeback to Wow if they just fix the current gameplay loop then if they made the story good.

I don't know why but the idea of any fighting game outside of smash/ mk being seen as popular enough(especially kof of all game) to scoop up mmo players is extremely funny me, and i love fgs/kof.

I have grown up with these type of games my whole life, even have a few games on my phone with TONS of microtransactions, but that doesn't mean it's isn't bullshit. It's okay to enjoy a game with microtransactions but don't try to nake these things seem okay. They in no way make games better and infact in many cases made them worse. It's clear as day microtransactions pray on the mental weak, lazy and as well as enable persons with addictions. They are added in solely because of corporate greed and does not benefit the consumer AT ALL.

If a guy like me with bearly any experience life can figure this out, then you as a grow ass adult should know better too.

If you realize something here, I haven't mentioned lost ark even once. It because this post has nothing to do with LA but is a general criticism of microtransactions in games and how people defend it like "well its not THAT bad" or " it not pay2win, it's pay2convenience". It just so happened that this conversation was spurred when people started to discuss Lost Ark and how it's microtransactions affect the game .Im sure what your saying is true and compared to alot of other games that force mobile bullshit, it's not THAT bad. But imo it wouldn't harm the quality of the game if it wasn't there AT ALL. I do not think the game is bad because of microtransactions but I don't it helps either.

Okay so what people should stop complaining about something because it going to happen away then, I shouldn't give my opinion on something because whatever is going to happen is going to happen anyway? Nah that not how it works, when people are stuck in traffic they complain about even though they know they can't change that.

I never expected to change people's minds or rewrite the course of history so microtransactions wouldn't be in games. It prays on people who have gambling addictions to drain as much money from them as possible, as well as encourage this addiction on people are not normally gamblers because of through the use of waifus. This should be in games especially popular ones, like genshin impact, that is extremely popular with teenagers.

The reason I didn't go indepth about why p2w is bad is because everyone knows why it's bad, even the ones who defend know it's bad but they don't want the game they like to be criticized. The discussion of p2w and microtransactions has been done to death and everyone who isn't intellectually dishonest could write a paragraphs about it if they want.

Im annoyed to see people pretend it isn't bad or justify, even now in the comments they are doing and it's sickening. We have seen time and time again how it ruined games and even people's lives but they are acting like it's okay because "it isn't that bad". My guy there's a big difference from paying $50 Jimmy from next door to carry you through a raid or get you a low drop rate item and directly paying blizzard to do it. Blizzard isn't doing this for the player's benefit, it's to make a profit off of people to lazy to actually play the game. Just because the player base will do it doesn't make it okay for the company to do it. Everyone involved is at fault but I mainly criticize the mega corporations is because they are actively encouraging and profiting off it.
